Saw this Rashford lad for the first time today against Galatasaray. and I tried to think of the last time I'd seen such a performance from ayoungster and I could remember one instance: messi vs juventus in the 2005 gamper. So I began to watch some more highlights of this kid:. What incredible pace and acceleration! And apparently already has a bdetter gpg ratio than messi at that age! Wanted to get the rest of GL's thoughts on this? Could the next Messi really be a west indian lad born in northern england?

Could easily be the next Walcott, Lennon, Shaun Wright Phillips. Initial looks have been really good. Is Mourinho any good with youngsters?

cant wait to get rashford for 15mill after Mourinho benches him for the whole season. Gonna be a good Mandzukic replacement and fit well with Dybala and Pjaca cheers

Was already past his prime when he was 18.

Lmao, put Messi in that Harlem Globetrotters Team playing against half amateurs and he would score 5 goals every game. France was statistically worst defending SF team in the World Cup history.

Messi also scored the winner against Mexico (wrongfully called offside), was involved in the actual winner and completely destroyed a modern team.





I would say Pele is probably the 3rd best 18 year old ever after Messi, and steroid Ronaldo.

Weird thread. Hope its not a deliberate attempt at jinx. The OP do seem well intended going by the post. So, assuming it’s a genuine post, I like to say no way the 2 can be compared. Different players. Rash is basically Martial on the right side eventhough his finishing is not Martial’s level yet. But then again Marcus has some attributes Martial hasn’t have like better vision for example.
And since both him and Anthony are not Mourinho type players, the worry that both of them in fact, not just rashford would get wasted under him is not an unreasonable one for now. Hope mou wont do a lukaku with these lads and ditch them. They are an integral part of United’s future.
