The ability for them to keep a clean sheet clearly has improved but it is a similar trajectory as last season minus the loss.

Like to believe they will hit a bump once the fixtures start piling up like it did last season. Not having a specialist LB for half a season (?) will hurt them. Neither Delph nor Danilo are good enough to deliver consistently week in and out. Stodgy teams who hit on the counter will look to exploit that side of theirs.

Plus who are the leaders in that side barring a Kompany who is always injured? Can't see senior players like a Fernandinho or a Walker picking up the baton once the going gets a bit bumpy and heads begin to drop. They had Zabaleta and Kolarov until last season. So, I believe the key will be keeping Kompany fit at least in the later stages of the season.

Having said all that, I concur the title is City's to loose this term. Ederson in particular would prove to be a massive difference.
