feels like he has been ghosting again for a while now, despite Chelsea winning all the time, I think their success this season has had very little to do with him actually

He's been quite poor for the past month or so tbh.

Becoming increasingly apparent he will never be a top, top player sadly. His ability is undeniable, but he simply lacks the mentality and the consistency (the latter being largely dependent on the former) required to make a hugely talented player into an elite one. After his uptick in/return to form earlier this term, we were told by his sympathisers that his complete anonymity last season was owing to some mythical fitness issues that magically hamstrung him for 9 straight months, and that he was now back at his customary, natural level. Yet here we are a few weeks later and we're having the same old discussion all over again. Don't think he's had a single good game since his semi-good showing vs City and has been a nonentity for months since. It's quite frustrating as a fan having a player with his capabilities be so abject for such lengthy, random, unpredictable stretches, but this is more and more showing itself to be his norm.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw this bumped..crazy hoiw he's kinda forgotten among the 'elite'

I'm not sure if he can even be counted in that category..I think he's a tier below tbh. He's almost 27 but I do think his peak has passed. Unless he moves to Serie A.

He's just never been able to portray talent into consistent effectiveness and I don't think he ever will.

The hype around him has never really been matched on the pitch.

He broke his foot or something and I don’t see him as dominant an athlete as before. He lost maybe 10% in explosiveness

I love his technique of hardly ever showing up in slightly tougher games where the opposition have some semblance of knowing how to defend.

You want an attacking winger to be the star of a team which parked the bus all night? Whenever Chelsea managed to get to the Barcelona's third it was cause of Hazard wrecking havoc. Willian might have stolen the show but it was Hazard who provided him with the chances.

The flicks and tricks of Hazard is exactly what was needed on the break too. I'm surprised by how agile he is too. You just couldn't get the ball from him unless you triple sandwiched him. Imagine having him instead of that sad excuse of a footballer that is Paulinho. Or that guy you paid €120 million for and was warming the bench all night.

And let's be honest, Suárez's combination play is pretty bad and will never get any better. In a game surrounded by 3 opposition players from every angle what saves you is combination play, short flicks, little one-twos, all of which are Suárez's weaknesses. I could even see some donkey like Giroud faring better than Suárez last night let alone King Eden.
