I'll bite. What evidence? where is the evidence in your post that proves that Hazard is the best player in anything.

Let's play the quote game. Pep: "Zidane is the best player in history". @Blue, on the face of this evidence, do you disagree that Zidane is the best player in history?

Now, lets take this argument apart. The evidence we do have tells us that if we add up the last 4 league seasons of hazard, he still scored less total goals than many single seasons in the league by Messi or Ronaldo.

That abysmal difference should be enough. We don't have to go to the extraterrestrials that are Messi and CR. Hazard needs 3 seasons to match the scoring of Salah's single PL season. Given that Salah just did this, it is extremely safe to say that he is the current best player of the league. Evidence being, Salah is the holder of the PFA,FWA and PL player of the season award. Hazard has been missing from these awards since 2015.

On Neymar. Just a small piece of evidence: add every single season of european football played by Hazard, yes EL and CL, add all the goals that Hazard has scored in those and its less than 1 season of Neymar in the CL.

These are overwhelming stats comparing 4 left wingers plus Messi. Clearly Hazard is blown away in the scoring department, comparing creating to Messi and Neymar would also be pointless for him (De Bruyne alone assists more in the PL per season than Hazard in the last 4 combined). There's no need to take stats and awards as absolute evidence (although they are certainly worth more than quotes), the eye test will tell anyone that these players are head and shoulders above Hazard. He needs WAY more consistency to be in a conversation with the two GOATS that have monopolized the BdO for like 10 years in a row.

How about posting some stats or examples on why you have this opinion instead of these quotes which make you look like Chelsea‘s jiopsi?

Where was this supposed best player in the league last year? Or the year before that when other Chelsea players outperformed him? It‘s been what, 2-3 years since he showed this kind of form and we‘re supposed to think he‘s the best player in the league based on a run of 5 game? Hell nah.

He's a Isco with a more punchable face. Madrid would be foolish to spend any crazy amount of money Chelsea will ask. He's soon to be 28 and he hasn't done anything really worth of note in his career yet. Those ~15 goals a season and 10 assists are numbers any half-decent player can rack up in a stacked team.

What stacked team ? For 6 years he's been playing with the likes of Oscar, Cesc, Morata, Willian, Schurrle and other scrubs and won 2 PL titles. You've been playing the blame game with Suarez for 2 years now and this guy is winning matches on his own partenered by Giroud in attack.

He wasn‘t the best player or even second best player in the last title win let alone carrying anyone.

With that said, that goal was insane, Moreno or not and he is playing some amazing football under Sarri, he is well on his way to becoming the best player if he keeps this up.

But we have to keep in mind that Hazard has shown before these short bursts of amazing football only to shit the bed for the rest of the season, we‘re going to have to wait and see if anything has really changed.

It was obviously a great goal that got you through to the next round, we lost and I will look at the situation. Hazard drifting everywhere etc is usual. Moreno getting beat in the box was unacceptable even though it was expected.

hazard plays so similar to isco.. the similarities are definitely there.

Tbh hazard is unplayable. Like if you give him space like Moreno did he will score. If you defend well and close him down he will just fall over and the ref will give him the free kick every time. What needs to happen is someone running at full pelt and snap him clean in half. That’s how you deal with players like him.

I'm not looking at the stats, I'm looking at the way he plays football. The other day you were coming up with excuses for Pogba who is supposedly underperforming because of Mourinho's management but you're judging Hazard on the goals he scored in the 5 years he played under Jose and Conte ? Check his heatmaps in the last 5 years, his average position was similar to Iniesta. The guy is creating chances at will, can beat a player easier than anybody, his one touch play and first touch are world class, and he isn't a shaby finisher either, just that he didn't use to get on the end of chances until now because he was the ball carrier, playmaker in the final 3rd and dribbler. Now he has Jorginho, Kovacic to share the burden. And he is still playing with fcking Giroud in attack. I'm not sure if even Messi would have scored 50 a season playing for Mourinho's or COnte's Chelsea.
