Just imagining Martinez at Liverpool gives me schudders Laughing

Arsenal winning at WestHam just says that it will extremely difficult to replace them as top 4 and they will start performing even better in the second part of the season.

We're 5 wins, 4 draws and 1 loss in our last 10. Truthfully we should have actually won that loss, and won one of the draws. Things are looking up.

West Ham (A)

Spurs

Chelsea (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Sunderland (H)

Arsenal (H)

Everton (A)

Well things looks slightly favorable for us. . . maybe our best chance to jump on the misfortunes of all 3 or maybe 2 but IF and ONLY IF we keep our current form!!

If we just don't get tactically outsmarted, we should easily have the players to win 4-5 of those games. Our next three games, Leicester, Sunderland and Villa, that's 3 of the 4 lowest-scoring teams in the league.

This really is our best chance to catch up on Arsenal & Spurs. ManU have more or less mediocre fixtures. And for us bar the Everton game in our current form i can't see any slip ups.

Best scenario might be we go level on points with Arsenal and 6 points adrift of ManU at 3rd. Spurs really don't look in the best of shapes.

And sorry no matter how brilliant Southampton & West Ham i don't consider them as rivals they just do not have the squad to carry it on till May. But then again that's just my opinion.

West Ham will lose Koyate and Sakho to the Africa Cup and both are big losses to them. A pity from our point of view that Song didn't get a call up, but we should still finish above them.

We're having the most identical season to Spurs last season.

Spent 130m last season.

Played crap for 6 months. Remained a game or two behind the top 4 by the end of December. Wonder where our future lies. hmm

Hmm...I'm not so sure. I think we will beat Leicester, Sunderland, Villa and WHU (12), United will drop points at Stoke and Southampton (7), Arsenal will drop points at Southampton, Stoke and City (4).

We'll be top 4 by the end of January. :coffee:

@El, it wont be so simple but I think we will be 5th by end of Jan. Villa away will be the most difficult fixture from that lot. They are a team who can easily defend a lead like 1-0, thanks to Lambert.

well the reason i said we will be 5th is not because our opposition wont drop points, I think we are equally equipped to drop points against the likes of Sunderland and Villa away games Laughing

Also the fact is, if Arsenal gain 7 points from those game and we gain 12 points, we would still be on equal points with them. So I think for me a very optimistic situation will be going 5th by end of Jan.

Would have been a decent round for us if only we had got the job done ourselves. Only Tottenham's win the really unwanted result.

But, honestly, we buy three Southampton players for about £50m and they're 7 pts ahead of us after 20 games, f me.
