The penalty was a joke. A little hand on the shoulder, happens all the time. Well, at least Fred did something in this game.

Oscar's goal was class, but that penalty robbed Croatia.

But why on earth is Neymar being played through the middle? Means Hulk is on the left(he's woeful out there), Oscar is on the right(far from his best position) and Neymar is not a good enough creator/he ends up dropping too deep and being disconnected from the attacks. The only logical reason for it is because he's become the '10' due to nike's marketing but it bascially weakens the team as a whole, the game today was a far cry from the team we saw in the confed cup with Neymar on the left, Oscar through the middle and Hulk on the right.

They 'deserved' nothing. It was a ridiculous, terrible dive, Croatia had a goal disallowed.
This simply is not going to work if the referees are terrible like that.
It was a farce already in South Africa, and it's becoming a farce already here after one game.

Yes they were. They had more and better chances. Croatia did jackshit after the own goal. Was Cesar threatened even once before the penalty? Only after they were trailing Croatia tried to attack again. Penalty was not a penalty though, that I agree.

Thought Oscar was the best player on the pitch along with Neymar. Neymar always tried to lead the attack and take responsibility. Fred was a joke all match and Hulk was playing for himself.

Oscar was excellent in everything he did. Great at RW, CM and CAM. Very good technique for the goal eventhough the GK should have saved it

Referee was poor all game, the crowd was clearly getting to him. But you can't do anything.

Great match overall though. Much more promising than 2010
