For some reason I doubt that they got it right, Khedira hasn't even played 90mins after coming back, no way he starts in a CL final.

Costa will be like Iniesta in Rome. Plays now, gets injured for 6 months, takes a year to recover normal playing level. Not that Atleti care, by that point it will be Chelsea's problem Laughing

But I suppose I can understand it since with our weak midfield we need some muscle against Atleti's physical midfield. We wouldn't have gotten that with Illarra. Carlo better not mess with Illarra next season because if he is to start he needs playing time as a CDM. Anyways hala madrid

The only reasons I can think of:

-Experience
-Add physicality to our physically weak midfield
-Set pieces where Atleti are most dangerous especially with no Pepe
-Unpredictability after going on about Illarra starting to make Atleti prepare to face him rather than Khedira
