OH and btw, did that short shootout between Hanzee and Lou also remind any others of that chase scene between Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem in No Country for Old Men?

So glad for Patrick Wilson. Was absolute class, and this will surely put him up for some bigger roles in TV and film.

I finished half the season so far and holy shit.

Hanzee

Such a great cast of characters.

Yeah, it was another great season. Great characters, great storylines, plenty of wtf moments, and plenty of crazyness. I'd still give season one a slight edge because Malvo is one of the greatest villains of all time.

I'm not a fan of how they linked Hanzee to the season one story (it seemed forced) but that was just a minor detail that I became aware after I was done with it and read about it online. I also liked how in both seasons (even though they took place more than 30 years apart) some of the characters were talking about how things aren't what the used to be and the world is going to shit while reminiscing of a better past. I liked that little tidbit.

Finally finished binging.
In short it is the BEST TV show right now in terms of consistency. Showed the creators of TD how to do it even after changing the entire cast.

Though having said that For me personally Season 1 was on a different level.
The last 2 episodes in this was top notch, i felt. They brought me back into it, after a couple of disappointing episodes in the middle. I mean there was a sense of believability in s01 even when Martin Freeman's character was escaping the grip of devil over and over. But in this i think they overdid it.

Its not that big a flaw, but the standard they set and the expectation right now is too huge. So overall its a brillaint piece nonetheless.
Also Hanzee+Milligan+Dodd < Malvo.

Anyway Kirsten Dunst as Peggy blew me away. What a performance. Truly magical. The best character after Lorne Malvo that they have created.
And there was not a single bad performance, but thats one of the minimum expectations we take with when we go to watch something under the banner of the Coens I believe.

Overall - Awesome stuff.

Not liking how Hanzee's character arc is going. He went full psycho in episode 9, felt like a complete 180. He was a cold, calculating killer who was very loyal to the Gearhardts and then that happened.

But holy shit what an episode. Other episodes were awesome too. Martin Freeman as the narrator was GOAT rofl
