Last night i sent a PM at 11.30pm and now at 10am the next day its still in my outbox. Am i doing something wrong? why is it taking so long to send one message?

Maybe because your sentbox/outbox might be full?

If i click on a previous message ive sent to them in my sent box the most recent message doesnt come up in the conversation board, plus they havent replied yet but have been online yet, so i dont thnk theyve got it
