Re: All about Mesut Özil
He's been the best attacking midfielder in the PL since he came back from injury.
This isn't new tbh, can he be inconsistent? sure but name me a player in his position in the history of football that isn't? it comes with the territory and more often than not he usually is responsible for creating most of Arsenal's chances.
He's a fantastic player and it's quite sad how much he's disrespected considering how great he is to watch and amazingly talented he is.... i was told growing up that football is about entertainment, yet i see utter scrubs with no ability what so ever getting 10x the respect.

Re: All about Mesut Özil
agreed mole from a madrid fan standpoint ozil was well respected(and overrated), until we got isco and ozil reputation suddenly changed to shit, just to hype isco(nick leading the charge as usual) who until this day can't pass/create half as good as ozil, he can't even hold down a regular spot, but hardly get criticized cause again they drank the koolaid.
now we got kova and casemiro rm fans doing the same thing again, only to kroos can't wait until his reputation turned to crap on this forum, with nick leading the charge again to be proven wrong when its crunch time .

Why, because he's slow? As a #6 or #8 he's better than anything you got, and it's not close.

Nvm, I forgot we play Cazorla as a CM (he's been great, mind). Thought Kroos would come as a DM(hypothetical) which would be awful.

I don't want to shit on your guys either, it's just, I can't really imagine a team I wouldn't change a bit to accomodate him; tremendous vision on the kid.

Well yea, Kroos isn't going to step down from madrid for us lol.
Coquelin-Kroos-Ozil would be interesting though

Oh yeah, I was just reacting to the "pls no", I think getting Kroos from Madrid will need about 2 seasons of him getting ostracized there first.

Re: All about Mesut Özil
*sigh*
RG, you jumped the gun there with the DM bit.. Of course, I meant as a partner to Coquelin..
We can wait 2 years for him though, Cazorla can handle it this year and we might just pull off next year too.. Doubt we'll see much of Rosicky or Arteta any more though - may be the odd cup matches at best..
/wishfulthinking

Ozil is a great player when he's on form. He took a bit to find his feet in England I think but he's there.

Re: All about Mesut Özil
Staying fit + not being exhausted like last season + Theo, Ramsey and Alexis being there to make runs off of him.
These things have made a difference. A huge one. Key thing is that he stays fit with those players. We'll see more of the same if that's the case.

i dont know, it's very close.
Aguero is playing great too, whenever he can actually play, and Hazard is doing amazing too.

That's the thing he isn't lol, outside of us falling apart Aguero has been poor this season imo.

Re: All about Mesut Özil
Just to set a few things straight.
Obviously I was very pissed at his lack of effort in games in his first season at Arsenal. He gave the ball away needlessly at times, he was easily bullied off the ball, etc etc just read OP of this thread.
BUT he has massively improved since then. Dude has been working his arse off even if he still isn't the most explosive player. He is so much more controlling, demanding and confident on the ball! Yes, sometimes things don't work out for him and he still has a weak shot on him, but it's way less more frustrating than his performances were back then.
No one can deny that he has improved magnificently in his work effort, and that lack of genuine effort was mainly what bothered me to the end. Always supported the guy, and now I'm growing more fond to him game-by-game. Still can improve his performances in bigger games I think, but the way he is imposing himself more and more in games these days is quite evident and I think he just about now truly growing into his own in life in the PL.
Been the best PL player this year.

If you watch Arsenal games with me, you would've seen. Even in that season I would cheer him on, but I admit most of the time I was smh and tweeting that Wenger should get him the *bleep* off.
