Arsenal Lobby - Page 2 Empty Re: Arsenal Lobby

Post by Jay29 Fri 13 Dec 2013, 16:30

What grates me most about that is his use of absolutes. Arsenal will lose to City, Arsenal will fade away, Arsenal aren't good enough, etc. Okay, but why? What's his reasoning? That we lost at Old Trafford? Why is not winning in two games suddenly a bad run of form? I generally don't care what agenda a journalist has, so long as he attempts to give a decent argument backing up his opinion.

Unfortunately, this is going to be the case all season long. We could be top in April and there'll still be articles predicting Arsenal to slip up because we have that stigma of being a team that capitulates when the pressure is on and the going gets tough. We could beat City and Chelsea and they'll just say that we haven't proven anything until we've lifted the trophy. That's just the world of media and journalism for you.

It's easy to feel victimized but it's worth bearing in mind that a lot of clubs suffer from similar treatment.

Club announces ticket prices for 2014/15

Arsenal Football Club has announced it will be increasing its ticket prices by three per cent, in line with inflation, next season.

It will be only the third across-the-board increase on prices in the nine seasons the Club will have been at Emirates Stadium.

Prices within the Family or Young Guns Enclosure for Team JGs (four to 16 years) and Young Guns (12 to 16 years) to attend B and C category matches will remain unchanged at £10.

Season ticket holders' individual prices will be communicated at the time of renewal. Renewals for Club Level season tickets will begin in February.

More information about the renewal process will be provided closer to the time.

Surprised and disappointed about that. Absolutely no reason for an increase in prices when there's more money from TV and commercial deals coming in.

Really enjoyed his appearance on Sky on Wednesday. Looking forward to him upstaging whoever he's paired up with on Match of the Day tonight, too.

He made some brilliant points. Even made Redknapp look like he wasn't a dipstick.

Arsenal's Jack Wilshere set for one-match ban for middle finger gesture - and would miss Chelsea clash

After having a shocking game this is what he gets. I know he was frustrated but he is a professional and should never bring himself to this level. Now he is going to miss a very important game because of his behavior.

Good, that's unacceptable even if a bit hilarious.

Between Flamini, Arteta, Ramsey in mid and having Theo, Özil, Cazorla (and Poldi on bench?) we should manage.

Yes, retroactive punishment but nothing happens to the officiating that allowed this:

and no mention of this

Also, Zabaleta's handball.

Wilshere would have been very lucky to face Chelsea after his recent displays. Fact is he isn't first-choice anymore. Still disappointed he's out, needed him on bench.

Still don't understand Wenger's plans for him. Fabianski is almost certain to leave, but will Wenger sign a keeper who hasn't played (and maybe won't this season) one competitive match for us to be cover for Szczesny next year?

How much is the option to buy?

Staying on the Christmas theme, Santi Claus rates the wrapping ability of elves Rosicky, Sczesny and Podolski:

How much is the option to buy?

Probably a couple of million. Can't be that expensive.
