As part of the investigation into the dairy firm Parmalat's bankruptcy court it has emerged that the firm (whose owner, Tanzi, also owned the football club Parma) used fake sponsorship contracts with the team. This way the owner could siphon money out of the company to pay for the club's players. These players include Sebastián Verón, Faustino Asprilla, Luigi Apolloni, Enrico Chiesa, Lilian Thuram, Dino Baggio, Hernan Crespo, Hristo Stoichkov, Tomas Brolin, Lorenzo Minotti and Massimo Crippa

It's common practice in Italy back then and was well documented and Gialloblu know it, I think even some past players talked about it. Compared to the corruption that Tanzi did, this is really peanuts. The man rotten in prison, thanks god. Italy was top of the world in term of football back in the 90s, but with that it's lots of shady dealings going on.
