Yh Nick i remember, i still have my Silver PS2 slim lol.

But if they somehow make a PS4 slim with all the shit they have to pack in.

Who ever designs it deserves to be knighted by the f*cking queen for services to my eye sight.

RG briefly explained to me but...

Can someone provide a comprehensive exploitation on which system between the two is the more powerful, technologically impressive/advanced and with more capability/potential than the other?

I understand PS3 was more powerful but 360 created better graphics consistently because the hardware was easier to use, for example.

I also understand that when devs like Naughty Dog & Kojima used PS3 properly, 360 could not match it.

Can someone tell me the difference or provide a comparison?

In short PS4 is more powerful.

The xbone won't be available in many countries at launch

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/pre-order-xbox-one/disclaimer

this to me proves that they did have manufacturing problems , thus they are going to push it in important markets first ... and then when they fix their ish , we're going to see a release just about everywhere  ... lol

Really want to  know if they're going to downclock the APU ...

Thanks Mole!

But hmmm.... It may be more powerful, but like the previous generation, Microsoft may just have hardware to which developers find it far easier to work with. Which is why we saw all third party games in which 360 90% possessed the superior graphics. When it came to exclusives, Gears, Halo etc all had transcendent graphics yet the exclusives for Sony which possessed experienced devs who knew PS3 inside out churned out mind-blowing graphical outputs to which 360 could not match.

I can see a similar instance happening here as Microsoft once again, may just have a more efficient to use hardware which developers will choose to exploit over Sony's hardware.

Unless this time Sony has worked on those problems.

I have no idea why Microsoft are using the DDR3 RAM. They are putting too much expectations in the cloud technology.

That isn't going to happen anymore Arq ... devs had problems with the PS3 Cell CPU ... that's why at first games didn't look better for the PS3 , until they adapted to it ... the xbox had a more familiar structure , so devs opted to use it for developing games ...

But now it's a whole another story ... both systems use x86 cores ... which are PC based and thus developer friendly , but because the PS4 is more powerful and has a 50% raw power over the xbone ... I believe devs will choose the ps4 as their main development system , then do a downscale for the xbox ...

Tbf the way devs are speaking in interviews for their games they seem very excited about the potential of it all.

Thing is though even if it isn't coming till 2014 Sony has similar tech they are just not making it front and centre like MS are.

I don't see cloud being a massive advantage for MS as Sony has it as well.

MGS4 and Heavy Rain were the only two games which managed to use PS3's proper capabilities. It was a shame since they could have done so much more from it.

Calm down bro ... there's nothing to be dismantled ... the last 3 NFS sold a whooping 3 milion units globaly ... that's as much as a single Forza title sold on a single console .... EA are trying to keep it afloat , but NFS is already dead ...

Here's a update with the PS 4 U Laughing

DDR 3 is too slow , and adding a 32mb eSRAM to speed it up  still doesnt bring it close enough to the ps4 bandwith

It's still looking like this

approx 100gb/s vs 176gb/s

Not even close microsoft Laughing
