Fact is you'll have a hard time finding a lot of Mou's ex-players speaking ill of him. People - not very smart people - attribute this to everyone else being professional and Mou being the bad guy but everyone knows or at least should know that the Mou in front of the press is completely different than the Mou in front of players, it's been reported many times.

If he was universally hated by his players he'd never have achieved what he has, although it is likely that his high tension coaching doesn't work for longer time periods. But why would he care about that - he is obviously a bit of a drifter and he can get a new job any time and almost any where he likes. Hell, with him being only 50 there is even a small possibility he might return here one day.

The secret behind Inter's success was that absolutely everyone was behind Mou 100%.The board,the players,the fans...Even the ones who didn't like it did their part with maximum effort.At Real you could hear about players bitching on a weekly basis.Some Real players are divas and bitches,let't be honest here...

Do you think Eto'o liked being a wing back?Hell no...But he worked hard and became the best wing back.Only Balotelli couldn't keep his shit together and sat on the bench for most important games of his career because a 10 times less talented Pandev played instead.Why?Cause Pandev kept his head down and mouth shut,did what he was being told to by a man who knows how football is played and how games are won.

Self managed players don't work in modern football,they could work before but not now because tactically the game has evolved and every players effort counts no matter how far down the field he is or how offensively orientated.

Hmmmm. So i guess, Ramos, Pepe, CR7, Iker, etc. are all unavailable for comment and are just being evasive. I guess Iker and Ramos both staying complimentary of Mou is nothing worth noting.

Agreed. He got the players fired up after the first season in charge, but they were just unable to be arsed the second time coming. If the guys aren't willing to fight for you, then it's best you leave.
However, I do feel the majority of the players are genuinely sad Mou left, which is obvious from their statements to the press. On the other hand you can believe what Sporty is saying - he's got plenty of... nothing to back it up.

As much as i agree with Vibe, i would also say that it's the manager's job to get his message across and to get every single piece of effort from his players on a daily basis. Our locker room is just harder to manage than any, and we have no prima donna or diva at the level of balotelli. PLayers will bear some of the fault, but so does the manager because he failed at his job. He dealt with the locker room by antagonizing people, which led to a very bad situation at the end. When he arrived in madrid, everyone got behind him, we wouldnt have won last year if that wasnt the case. it just all went to crap because the things that he did to get people around him were not sustainable.

I also agree with Nick, while the players do have a responsibility to the coach it's pretty obvious Mou made this harder than it needed to be.

Having said that these are guys that are paid millions to play competitive football. You expect them to have thick skin and be able to listen to the coach regardless of being happy or not.

All and all, what's really bad right now is Arbeloa coming in the press and making those comments. just as mourinho agreeing to make that interview with punto pelota knowing full well it was a way for him to have the last word while he was gone in london already. It's terrible behavior regardless of the validity of those statements and i hope Arbeloa gets told off by the club.

What? I agree Mou's interview was petty but Arbeloa's comments were totally fine imo. We didn't punish Cris for his I'm sad bullsh*t so why the fck would we punish Arbeloa for manning up and saying that we haven't been good enough as a team him included?

I seriously don't get you guys, Arbeloa's comments aren't pro-Mou so much as they are pro-professionalism and pro-adulthood.
