I'm pretty sure it's players who are 23 or younger.

Doesn't matter really anyway all the midfield and attack in Brazil's u23 are genuine quality players.

Sandro, Oscar, Neymar, Hulk, Lucas, Pato, Damaio are all quality players regardless of age.

I mention midfield and attack because the majority of Messi's goals come through escaping his midfield markers and scoring than the actual defence.

More often than not the midfield is to blame more than the defence.

No doubt the defence in the u23 team is garbage but if you watch the goals the defence are hardly the culprits for it.

People calling him the best ever when he has done what exactly on the international stage? Even Batigol at least won 3 International trophies.

Whatever people say doesn't matter a player will not be remembered on what a little football forum have to say about him. All legends of the game have scored many goals that don't matter. There are also lots of players that have not won on the international stage and are still greats. Di Stefano for example One of crimsons favorite players did not win the world cup even though he was magnificent for Madrid. Let's not discredit an amazing player because he plays for a rival. I understand the hate towards like busquets or Alves but Messi is a living legend. The things he has accomplished and the magic displayed will always be remembered. I would even say the same thing about Cr7, these two battling it out I probably the best player rivalry or at least one of the best an we get to witness it. Batigol did not won these cups alone, he had a very good teams backing him. And Messi is called best ever because of the way he plays, him not accomplishing internationally isnt his fault entirely. No players wins a tournament all by himself. You make it seem like Messi missed sitters with Argentina and one of the main reason why they lose.

Batigol was the striker, he is meant to score goals, even Pipa scored 4 and Argies went to QF in 2010, thus that mean he is on par with Bati? Ofcourse not. But it is a different with Messi and Bati. I remember there was a time when People used to blame Roman for everything wrong happening with Argies, even when he had a great season


Seriously dont get people who somehow manage to mix titles which are won by team performances with individual performances. Was Messi poor in WC? No. Was Messi bad in the game vs Uruguay when they lost last year? No. But somehow it is his fault that Argies dint won. Even Maradona dint won jackshit in 1982, when he had a team stacked with world class individual and than he won the world cup next time with a team not that great individually but as a team they functioned great.

And the performances he gives with Barcelona is enough for me to say he is the best I saw, even though I saw players like Zizou, Ronaldo, Romario, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo won with both NT and Club and were fantastic individuals. I dont believe in bashing individuals because a team failed, especially when the individual one of the few who performs well.

cipriano I assume is Cristiano. Dont talk silly, Cristiano when he was younger performed quite well for Portugal. Has reached WC semi performing quite well and even reached Euro finals, being the best youth(along side Rooney, who was sensational) of that tourney. I dont get it, why to praise Messi you have to down CR. Messi is great on his own, he does not need a CR failure favor.

Di stefano didnt actually get to compete for the world cup. I dont think crimson has a problem with messi being considered a "great", he seems to have a problem with him being the "best ever"
