With the signing of Oscar we could well be moving back to the 4-3-3. The main reason we switched from the 4-3-3 to the 4-2-3-1 was to allow Mata to play more centrally but with the signings we could play more effectively in a 4-3-3. The only thing stopping us is Mata's poor defending. I believe if Mata is played down the right we won't be as defencively weak because he would have Ivanovic and Ramires behind him.

Something like this could be deployed in some matches next season:
Cech
Ivanovic Luiz Terry Cole
Romeu
Ramires Oscar
Mata Torres Hazard

And into the future:
Courtois
Kane Kalas Chalobah Bertrand
Romeu
McEachran Oscar
Hazard Lukaku Piazon

Of course the 4-2-3-1 could also work:
Cech
Ivanovic Luiz Terry Cole
Mikel Lampard
Oscar
Mata------Hazard
Torres

And in the future:
Courtois
Kane Bruma Chalobah Bertrand
Mikel McEachran
Oscar
Mata-----Hazard
Sturridge

Personally the future 4-3-3 squad looks stronger.
