Just like i said 2 years ago..Alex Fernandez has no future at Madrid. He will probably make a decent La liga team midfielder but cant see him reaching any where near world class status.

Only player i have high hopes from our lower level is Jose Rodriguez..the deep lying playmaker. He is a beast and definitely will be playing for a top team in La Liga or abroad in 3 years time.

Jose Rodriguez playing great for Spain assisting their first goal

He should have been called up to the u20 team. he would have been the perfect player to compliment Torres in that CM/DLP role. oh well

Nose Rodriguez looked very good with Spain U19 despite the fact that the team lost to France in the Euro semis tonight. Very impressive. I thought it was pretty idiotic to have subbed him out at the 75 min mark... made no sense.

Very good prospect. Dude needs to get a nose job though... that thing is monstrous Laughing

Rabiot is going to be a beast for France imo... he's only 17 and already a starter for Toulouse on loan from PSG. PSG might keep him on the squad this year.

WE YOUTH/CASTILLA FOLLOWERS HAVE A BIG PROBLEM. MARCA TV ISN'T GONNA BE THERe ANYMORE. :(Today it was their last day on the tv. They had financial problems and now they shut down Marca TV. Sad

Lots of Juvenil B players made their debuts with Castilla. Marcos Llorente, Narváez, Javi Muñoz, Fran Gaitan, Mario Hermoso and León. Mario Hermoso is the kid who already debuted in the first team, he debuted only when he was 17 in the Trofeo Santiago Bernabéu under Mou. He was last seasons Juvenil B left back and from what I hear he's pretty good.

Javi Olmedo (2nd keeper of last season's Juvenil A side) is loaned  to C.D Toledo (Segunda B club in group 1, same group as Real Madrid C). It's good they loaned him. We got so many (good) keepers now. Mejías, Pacheco and Ruben at Castilla. Prieto, Jacob and Herrero at Real Madrid C. Hopefully Mejías will leave so Pacheco is a starter. Pacheco is a amazing goalkeeper but he almost missed the entire last season because I believe a back-up injury. Herrero should be a starter at Real Madrid C. He had an excellent season with the Juvenil A. He was back-up for Ruben Blanco (Celta de Vigo) at the European Championship U19 but that's because Ruben Blanco is an amazing goalkeeper. He's only 18 but very mature and started the last match of last season with the first team of Celta.

And I saw this picture today on Twitter. :O

The Cantera thread - Page 17 BQg4rupCQAEQTtl

Rafa Paez with Liverpool shirt, What? :O Apparently he's on trail at Liverpool with the U21 squad. He played 2 matches and did pretty good from what I've read. I hope we keep him. Last season central duo at the Juvenil A was Jaime Sanchez and Ivan Saez but I like Rafa Paez so much more than Ívan.

I usually watch them on aljazeera anyways :coffee:

Honestly I don't think castilla need reinforcing apart from rb. we have great players in all positions

Pachecho
RB-Derik-Llorente-Noblejas
Alex-Jose
Lucas-Borja-Burgui
Oscar

Subs: Belima, Sobrino, Benavente, Thomas, those news signings and Ruben

Oh yeah, we got Al Jazeera too. But they don't only broadcast like 50% of the games?

Good squad. I only would play Benavente instead of Borja and de Tomás instead of Oscar. Borja had a great season but I really like Benavente, he's just beast. 22 goals and I believe 21 assists last season at the Juvenil A. Same with de de Tomás, he's just beast too. Smile Both Benavente and de Tomás have qualities to reach the first team.

Benavente won't be a starter ? I thought that he would be the leader of Castilla now with Jese's departure

Toril is very precautious. he will go with the most experienced. personally I dont want borja anywhere near the line up. the guy is a defensive player converted to an attacking Laughing

as for thomas, he will get alot of playing time because Toril rotates his strkets alot

aljazeera broadcast all castilla and barca b mathes so wouldn't worry if I were you Proud

in other news alex has refused to sign a new contract or shall I say talks broke down (his contract runs out july next year) which prompted the head of negotiations to suspend him from playing for castilla in their friendly against fuenlabrada. he won't be promoted I don't think so its probably best to let him leave imo

Burgui, Belima, Sobrino, Llorente, Aguza and Noblejas have been promoted to Castillas team along with the already alternating Derik and Omar Mascarell

Benavente has been promoted to the C team but will be able to play for Castilla ( another season of Borja it looks like)

Quini has been listed as RB on the website when he is a RW lmao. Poor sod will have to move position now

Casado is still with Castilla I think. Which means he will start ahead of Noblejas, I hope not tho

Alex was not called up for this game after not being called up for any preseason games due to contract issues. I think he will leave before the transfer window closes. Wish him the best of luck

Castilla play their first game today, here is hoping they get off to a winning start. No Jese to rely on anymore

Oscar Plano and Lucas are just horrible. Why are they starters? Raúl de Tomás needs to replace Oscar Plano as a striker and Benavente can play on the right wing. Benavente needs to be a starter.

It looks like Benavente isn't getting any minutes. Some decisions of Toril really do piss me off.

Edit: BENAVENTE IS ON! YES.

watching castilla is so depressing these days. no creativity whatsoever

plano plays like a CM and Borja Garcia doesn't link up with the pivot. and why does jaime start on the wing when burgui is alot better. by the time Benavente came on it was too late. we gotta win these home games if we want to stay up
