Cologne has to win today to get into relegation battle against Hertha. Bayern won only once in their last 6 meetings with Cologne. Godolski is one of the reasons they weren't able to win there. He'd do anything today to get a draw at least.

On the other hand, Mario Gómez will likely try to get as many goals as possible to retain the "Torjägerkanone". Even if he says publicly that it is not so important for him, I bet in his heart he'd love to beat the Hunter for it. And the latter already promised his team mates a reward if they give him as many assists as possible against Werder. I think Michael Rensing and Tim Wiese will get a lot to do today

Yeah WTF is happening to Bremen, now even all their youngsters are jumping ship, and Pizarro is chased by BMG?
They're trying to sell faster, and cheaper, than the Fischmarkt on a hot summer afternoon.
BTW last season Godolski made Köln draw one, win one, against Bayern, basically on his own. Bayern should be careful.

Godolski is extremely dangerous against anyone. Bayern have rested most players last game and the cup final is next week, so I don't think they'll rest too many first team players just to keep match fitness up.
If that's the case Köln won't have much of a chance.

Before Köln completely collapsed, Geromel was the Bundesligas best foreign defender, only Hummels and Höwedes were ahead of them, now it's probably GOATeng and Goodstuber as well.

To be frank, you could have had Ramos, Vidic, Höwedes Beckenbauer or Maldini there and Podolski would still have pulled off a shot. Podolski and Geromel were the best Cologne players while Ribery and Lahm the best for Bayern. Gomez sucks really bad today.

But yeah, Godmez has been off-form for a while now. We need him at top shape for Chelsea, so no choice but to play him.
I don't know why we don't try Müller as lone striker.
