If I'm not mistaken, he actually scored in the final unlike the dictator who shot the free kick to row Z at 120th minute.

Anyway I don't realize because he has so many haters , amazing CF.
I hope he doiesn't stay at Napoli also next year because he's a real difference maker and I think Napoli can't replace with anoter CF on mercato worthily. For example, always believed Higuain was better than Cavani.

I have been a Higgy fan since he had long hair at Real Madrid (basically, since Real Madrid signed him). I would always prefer him over the defensive midfielder who shall not be named despite the DM being honestly the better footballer.

To me, he really represented what Madridismo was about and from what I watch and read, he has been excellent for Napoli and I for one am happy for Higgy. But his criticism of him not showing up when he really is needed is well founded. Something about the big time gets to him.

I know Robes would say when Napoli need him, he would showed up and I'm sure he does but he has been seriously guilty of being flaky in big matches.

Those who blame him for Argentina's loss in the WC final are just hating but he threw away the best chance of the game for them and that can't be denied at all.

Color me surprised, but in Napoli he's been very good outside the goals as well. He had 10+ assists, and even this season he's had some very amazing vision assists (see the one for Hamsik in Germany last week).

I wish we blow our entire transfer budget on him. He's the hero we need, but not the one we deserve now.

If Napoli win EL, he'd have already done more for the club in 2 seasons than Cavani did in 3.

Not just this , probably he 'd be after Maradona in Napoli history . I mean , winning an European cup is history even if you are Milan Inter Juve .. let alone the Napoli  . It happened just because they had Maradona (won Uefa Cup 89 ) , but for the rest the Napoli history was always irrilevant although they are a big city. Comprable to Fiorentina easily.

Real was right to sell him , I don't deny this, I wasn't so convinced at that time for this selling but the facts proved it right considering Real won the craved Decima after Ozil and Higuain's selling

what makes Higuain special is anyway his class, he isn't just a poacher, infact if we notice his number of goal scored it is legit, but he didn't destroy Serie A.  Scored same goals than Palacio the man hated by BC last year with more penalty kicks scored, this year less than Icardi , Menez or Toni ... but he gives a great support to the team , even when he doesn't score he can be useful with his great tactical intelligence, he creates the spaces, assists , movements etc surely one of most intelligent CFs seen in last years. He reminds me Milito for it.

Higuain's best qualities have always been his movement off the ball and his excellent anticipation. He knows how to create space for himself and other attackers around him (and is very good in tight spaces, too). His composure in front of goal has let him down many times (in big matches) but lately we have seen what he is really able to do, carrying Napoli almost on his own. I still think it's best if he stays at Napoli and helps them establish as one of the top sides in Europe.

He's a great striker for regular games, but the biggest choker in important games. Someone has to make a collection of easy chances and 1v1 he has missed in important games. It would be the bomb. To think that Messi would have a WC if this muppet could withstand pressure or Aguero had been fit.

I would be surprised if even 1/4 of the people criticizing him here watched the match... What about all the other instances this EL where he was the driving force behind their wins?
