Next 4 La Liga games

I have a feeling that next 4 La Liga games will shape up how the rest of the season will be played out. Especially considering RM form, i do not expect them to drop any points in next 3 games, even though they have tougher matches. There are additional 2 CL games that could serve as moral boosters, especially the one with Milan.

The games are as follows:

Getafe - FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona - Rayo Vallecano

FC Barcelona - Levante

Real Madrid - FC Barcelona


My fear is we could mess it up along the way even though we are facing weak teams. That would be really bad, as we already 3 points behind. I am particularly worried about the Getafe game, considering our away form. As for Levante and Rayo i just hope we do not underestimate them.

Finally there is El Classico, which IMO will be decide who is the best team atm in la liga. I would be happy with a draw, if we win all the other games, as they will have to come and play at Nou in April.

What do you guys think? Will it be a stroll in a park until el classico, or you expect some rough time in between?

I think its far too early to be panicked about a 3 point gap.

I think its important to keep trying to pick up 3 points every week. Don't focus on Madrid or we'll start to drop points. Just continue Pep's mantra of seeking perfection. I believe we've got to put away our chances a bit more and regain that killer instinct, convert these odd draws into wins.

I think we'll be OK in these games. We should win them, though Getafe could be a little tough. The big one is El Classico, in my opinion, winning it isn't so important as not letting Madrid win it. We need to let them know we are still top dogs and they aren't truly above us yet. Of course a win would nail this truth straight down, but a draw and a dominant display of possession away from home would be good enough for me. As long as we show them we are still the bosses.

Not panicking we will lose, but i think it will shape up the next steps in the league. I am still confident that we can win la liga even if we go down 6 points after el classico.

My point is that next 4 matches are really crucial and will decide the tone of the rest of la ligas campaign.

If we lose more points, we can still win la liga, and it would be positive experience as the team will learn a bit about being the "underdogs" (i got a feeling we forgot about that in last 3 seasons), and we step up the game.

If we equal or pass RM, maybe we get more chance to involve young players against weaker teams and give some first 11 more deserved rest.

I think during the next few games leading up to El Clasico Pep should slow down the rotation and get the best 11 playing together consistently, to get a good momentum going. (as much as possible)

I had a bad feeling about getafe game, im dissapointed but not worried. After Clasico the lead is only 3 points again unless real *bleep* the next game

I just wander do some barca fans think like i do that we have to get a tall striker for these deadlock games, someone of Lorentes type? We are having 100 of corners and nothing. They have 2 corners and score.

I agree, im nervous when the opponent gets a freekick or corner kick because im not impressed our head game.

Concerning the getafe game, i have 3 things to say

1. The linesman for the 2nd half is crap, the 1st 2 offsides weren't offside, the one for the disallowed goal might be tho

2. Busquet is another disgrace, whats with diving in their penalty box when he was just a good pass away from equalising?

3.After 3 years, Pep still has not found any way to break down parking the bus?

The cancelled goal ( for offisde ) is wrong, because it wasn't messi who played the pass to keita, but Getafe's defender..

Indeed you were right, I stand corrected. However I am please that not many of us behaved like that bunch of madrid mob and whine about any and every unfavourable decisions

So Madrid have 6 point more and a game less to rest their players for Classico.

Now we will see what we are really made of.

Our schedule isn't easy either. Gijon away, Barca at home and then Sevilla away
If you want to be the champ, you need to win those games

In no way im saying it is easier for you. But, it is for classico, as you have one game less.

This pressure is good for us i think. We need to be second a bit, cuz i get the feeling the players have become too complacent.

I dont know why but i see 4-0 away win in el clasico. actually 4-1 because they will get a penalty. When madrid feels like a boss barca trashes them

6 Points behind but I'm not too worried. Still pretty early in the season yet. Not even halfway.

Yes it's happened quite a few times recently. Hoping for a repeat tonight fingers crossed.
