How many La liga games do you think Alexis Sanchez will start?

Of course, lets base this on noone gives a injury which leaves them out for say 4 months or more.

But if everyone stays generally fit, how many you think he will start?

Might be interesting to gather expectations.

Depends on how he fits in the team and how will correspond to Guardiola’s expectations.
I say between 10 and 20 playing some significant minutes as a sub

We paid a lot of money for him, I expect him to be almost a regular starter, so 20-30.

I would be a little disappointed if he only played 10-20 games as a starter to be honest.

He will struggle to really prove value for money if he only played that many games.

I hope and expect 20-30 like Free says. To guess a number, I will go with 22 starts.

I was thinking about 17-20 games so it’s not that different.

True, fair point.

I believe it would be on the cusp of 20 without injuries, though as with Mascherano his contributions to other competitions may mean that even if he does only get 10-20 it won't be a disappointing purchase.

i dont think he would start many in the first half of the season but can prove to be very useful in the second.

Interesting related question and not one that I think an answer can be justified for before he begins to play for Barcelona, however on instinct would each of you predict that Sanchez will score more goals as a starter or a substitute? Given how many competitions Barcelona are in he might end up gathering around twenty to thirty appearances as a starter and then again as a sub, barring personal injury.

Also Dani maybe I'd find it less aggressive if I had some idea of who the guy actually was, unless you really want to scare the daylights out of posters.

I personally feels that this depends on:

1. Performances of the front flank (Villa, Pedro and yes, messi).

2. His own performances.

It has been brought to me that Sanchez will NOT be playing in the mid as Barca clearly don't play wingers as Pep will utilize him a forward.

Therefore, my prediction is he will be in direct competition with his peers in the front attack and based upon that, no one is guaranteed a spot and this will only drive the team further to develop and perform.

I am going to say less than 10 if none of the front 3 suffer from major injuries.
The one criticism I have of Pep(besides transfers) is that he is a bit impatient.
So Sanchez needs to hit the ground running.If he doesnt I dont see him starting more than 10 games.

He'll probably start at max 20 games for the La Liga season and minimum 12 - 14. He would get plenty games to showcase in though so I could see his numbers jump more when one adds UCL and Copa games added in. And of course, the CWC which I definitely think he'll start for all they (Barcelona) partake in.

It might be a pessimistic view but I share it and that's what I voted for. This doesn't mean that I am questioning the purchase in any way. It's just that our starting eleven is very well set and in his first season he might be our quality impact substitute rather than a regular starter.

If Villa isnt scoring, he can still play well, but eventually it will effective his confidence because he is so used to scoring.

I dont mean this in a bad way, but if Pedro isnt scoring, he isnt doing much in terms of personal impact. His movement opens space for others, but if he isnt scoring along with that, you notice it.

Sanchez on the other hand, doesnt seem to me to rely on goals. I dont think it will effect him if he doesnt score for half a dozen games, because its not his mentality.

Barca always play under pressure and in little spaces with short passes, lets see if Sanchez will adapt this. he is not a passer as good as pedro. i predict pedro will be starter, it will take 5-6 months for sanchez to become a starter

I have to question how much you have seen of Sanchez with this comment.....

He is an excellent passer and better than Pedro in this regard, Pedro is much better finisher at this stage though.

Also Sanchez works as hard as any Barca player and is very good in small spaces and a great dribbler with little space or lots of space.

Yeah, I don't believe that it's significant, merely a point of interest. I agree with your statements regarding the use of his general play, he's less likely to try and to continually try to do too much when frustrated, unlike a player such as Zarate at the same age. He has poor games, however he's less obnoxiously frustrating and has far less work to do in ironing out such flaws in his game, which would also affect Barcelona's possession game. He's audacious, however he was generally intelligent enough to use Di Natale as much as possible, this will only increase with the talent surrounding him at Barcelona.
