Is El Classico overrated?

Manchester United and Manchester City go head-to-head on Sunday at Old Trafford, with City holding a two-point lead over the current champions.

Tottenham vs Arsenal was much better than el classico's last year in my opinion. Can't wait to see this game though.

Manchester derby this Sunday? Must have slipped my mind a bit. Hopefully it would be a nice match to take in, could care less about the result.

El Clásico (or sometimes refer to as "El derbi Español" by folks I have no idea exists) is only overrated by folks who enjoy overhyping and over rating big events...

The Manchester Derby only became relevant once ManC became relevant.

Before that, it was just another Utd-raping-a-small-team match.

Which is what is most likely going to happen.

The Manchester derby is certainly more interesting to me, but the overall quality of football could be better in El Clasico.

El classico was miles better before Mourinho took over madrid. Was really one of the most anticipated match for me

Wasn't all that miles better but I looked forward to it alot more back then than I usually do now.

They are both boring as watching grass grow for me......

tbh the supercopa el clasico was very good entertaining football and if we play similair i dont see why it wont be entertaining

What's with Arsenal fans bashing La Liga today and acting like there on the same planet as the Manchester teams?

BTW, the last Clasico in the supercopa is still the best game to date this year.

Hoping City win. United have already played Liverpool, Spuds, Arsenal, Chelsea already this season and got 10 out of 12 points which is insane.

Agreed last 3-2 probably most competitive high pressure match upto date this year

Disagree with that. Personally thought El Classico was miles better before Guardiola took over Barcelona.

A City win would be the best result for the league, but no way City is winning in Old Trafford.

This is not coming only from the gunners... majority of non la liga fans agree that el classico failed to live up to expectations recently while other derbies have stepped up in terms of entertainment and quality of the game.

Anyway,

Worlds best league aka EPL provides derbies almost every week.

what class is that? kicking and diving all game with like 10 mins of good football over the course of the match...normal match day games are 2x better than el classico now not even comparable to other derbies.

What do you mean recently? As I said before and unless you know nothing about football, the best game to date this year was the Clasico in the Supercopa from all angles, you have the best players in the world on show, two of the top 5 coach's in the world, fighting between players and coach's and a bunch of great goals.

I agree that all the games back to back last year was just too much and a freak scheduling thing but this years game was fantastic and I just don't know how someone who is a fan of football could say other wise.

And yea, the EPl derbies do top it, I mean Man U vs Liverpool was just a beautiful display of football for the EPL.
