He is coming back from injury and is trying to find his rhythm, when he does he'll be a huge boost for this team so I'm not sure what you're concerned about. He wasn't bad against Levante at all yet you're saying he's worse than Drenthe seriously lol.

Coentrao is the starter and he deserves to be but if Marcelo starts finding form again then Fabio will have trouble holding his place imo.

MOM imo alongside Ramos. Great, great game from him today, incredible in attack pretty solid defensive wise.

Man of the match was Ronaldo though. Ramos and Marcelo in second and Xabi in third.

I thought he was very shaky defensively, his defending was reminiscent of his time before Mourinho, his positioning was terrible and his recovery was slow, He needs to do a lot of work to do to get back to the levels of last season. He looked very bright going forward though.

A bit harsh in terms of his defence, I don't think he was great but he wasn't bad or even shaky as you put it.

In his current form Coentrao is probably better, however Marcelo when on form is better attacking wise.

I actually think he handled it pretty well.

I am just watching different compilations of our players atm because I am bored but Marcelo ffs Now I know why our attack was so crap this season(in fact I already knew )

Never the sharpest defender (I honestly think he won't get any better when it comes to actual defending) but my word, our attack truly needed his talent this season.

Alonso gone Kondogbia/Illaramendi in they will continue to cover for him like Alonso did before. Also if we will play 4-2-2-2 Ronaldo will be furthest forward

Dude is a joy to watch. He is probably the only fullback who doesn't pass the ball back to the cb the moment alot of opposition players start to crowd him or the one infront of him (Ronaldo). he always has a way out of every mess. I hope the cknfederations cup doesn't tire him out although that will be his opportunity to lose a couple of pounds after being out for so long

Marcelo is the greatest Left Back in the world. This guy is my love (among many others). There are very few players who can give me as much joy as Marcelo does when he plays. He is just pure gold..
