Yeah spanish NT can just replace puyol with ramos now imo, just move arbeloa at RB or somethin

Look, I don't actually agree that Pepe and Ramos are the perfect combination because there is too much aggressive-brawn there and too little intelligence. They both defend with their hearts more dominantly than with their heads.
For what its worth though, I thought Ramos was superb at CB. Next to Pepe, not so much...

He was superb today. Seemed to have stopped most of Lyon's attacks when they actually went for goal, and played the ball out of defence beautifully. I don't think he's anywhere near as bad a RB as people make him out to be, but I do agree he would excel at CB and play a lot better.

That has been our plan all along. But that happens after Euro so we (seleccion) want Ramos playing RB and CB this year. Next year he can make the move full time.

I foresee the day when Mou leaves, that the CBs will be Ramos and Varane;

TBF when the club had more Spanish players it was more successful
I think the type of squad we had from around 2000 to around 2003 was a good mix of nationalities.
Honestly though so long as the players are loyal and determined I don't really mind where the players are from. Then again I'm not from Spain so I can see where Bill is coming from.

You can't really compare the past since this Spanish factory of producing top notch players has only been reaping results for the past 5 years. By the way 7 (or
of the CL trophies came when the team was mostly Spanish. I would like a return to the days when we were allowed only 3 imports (other european countries were considered imports). I think we could have had a line-up like the following, which isn't too bad IMO.Casillas
