Re: Referees ruining Games

If you want refereeing decisions to become nearly error-free, you have to install video replays.
But you cannot blame the referees as individuals, because there's no human being in the world who would get every call right.GyansDancingBoots wrote:not just the referees
action needs to be taken against persistent divers and cheats like suarez before the game can be cleaned up
What I've seen of Suarez in the Liverpool shirt, he doesn't dive but exaggerates some fouls. So far I've been fine with his conduct. Like today, for example, in the "red card" tackle there was contact; he was right to go down, referee's mistake to give a red that should never have been given. And the penalty was a clear penalty, no doubt about it.
Suarez is easily at the level of di maria, dani alves and busquets in terms of disgusting playacting.
I can only say that I don't remember seeing Suarez in the Liverpool shirt going down without a contact, that's all.

Re: Referees ruining Games
I was under the impression that first yellow card for Obi was for talking something back at the referee not the foul (especially since it wasnt a foul in the first place).
Second yellow was just epic moronism, and outside the box.
Retaking penalty not sure to be honest, I think like 90% of all penalties would be retaken if referees should enforce the rule about not running into the box before the ball is kicked.

happens on every penalty... it would have been called back if the player had a blatant advantage, but the Inter players had broken into the box well before anyway.

Or maybe those photos are used as propaganda to make you think that when all but one of those were clear and fair red cards.

i can only remember the last three.
sneijder applauding the ref, lucio for a handball in the box where he didnt even have a chance to take his arm away, and the last one was just material

Sneijder's was a clear case of decent, Lucio's was a handball in the box (and these days it does not matter if it their was intent, if your arm was in the way and it hits it, it is a card, look at Ibra vs Plzen and many other cases) and the last one was a simply horrible call.

Re: Referees ruining Games
it was a "clear case of decent" in the most unaggressive way possible in which no ref out there would give a straight red. it was douchey as hell from sneijder but a straight red is unfathomable
i never really hate on referees because they have a tough job. but this guy has done too much
the match when he sent off sneijder was the most infuriating match i've ever seen. before he sent sneijder off for clapping it was a great game with both teams in it, then he ruined it all with an ego fueled decision. i think we won that game, but i wasn't even happy at the end of it, he made it a victory filled with anger which is a crappy way to win a game
and he did the same tonight. when we were beaten recently by teams like novara our players didn't cause a scene. and all our fans admitted they deserved to win 100%. and tonights match sucks because it's hard to say napoli deserved to win because it was on unlevel/unfair playing terms. i never want to see this ref again

Re: Referees ruining Games
Oh please, it wasn't a faint clap or two. He walked at him for ten seconds looking him directly in the eye sarcastically clapping him. It happens all the time. Only shows Sneijder's ego and blindness to see that what he was clapping for (Lucio's dive) was really a dive and Lucio deserved a yellow.
Yes you did win the game and it was a good match (not for Milanisti I guess) but he 100% made the right call with that one. 100%.
Tonight was a huge mistake and no one in their right mind would deny it. Huge, huge mistake that cost into three points and brought about a lot of humiliation.

Ok, but post the videos of the red cards at least to make a point. These pictures prove nothing. Yes, Rocchi isn't one of Inter's favorite refs obviously, but just because he's given a lot of reds against you doesn't automatically mean he has it in for you. The Sneijder one I remember; douchebag gesture but probably a yellow would've been enough. The Muntari one (if it's the one I think it is) was a just decision.

Re: Referees ruining Games
If he won't post a video I will.
Here is two of the red cards in the pictures he posted:
You can see Lucio dive and get his first yellow, got his second yellow later in the game, also deserved. And at 0:40 you can see Sneijder's sarcastic clap which definitely deserved a red. Look at the eye contact he holds. No respect for anyone.

Well, it will always happen. Refs are not superhumans without faults. In the BL we had our share of stupid decisions, too, this weekend.

And btw. Brigate dude, when did you ever see ref giving a red for claping?
Oh and in the same game Boriello yells at the ref, and refs does this
Ofc no yellow or nothing, just simple "calm down my son"
