Merseyside Fight Thread
The most passionate and intense derby in England when it comes to fights and cards.
Games aren't usually the prettiest as both teams try their best Stoke impression in those games
But the game is always insanely fast paced, full of action, arguments, everyone gets stucked in
and no body dives in this derby, they just beat the crap outta each other, which puts it higher in terms of coolness than El-Classico
Saturday, 12:45 GMT it is at Goodison Park.
Just watch this clip which is Rafa's last derby. One of the most amazing games when it comes to personal clashes, I lost count of times that the ref stopped the game cause of dangerous fouls
We'll probably get 1-2 red cards which will make them miss the game vs United 2 weeks later, but what the hell
I predict 3 goals in this game, 3 red cards, and 8 yellow cards....to which side, we'll see
Martin Atkinson babyyy !!!!!!!!!!!! (the most card happy referee in the league) this gonna be fun

Tottenham and Arsenal is a shadow compared to the merseyside derby as that is simply a game of whose defense is worse.
Old firm derby? LOL.
Merseyside derby is the 2nd best derby is all of Great Britain after the Liverpool-United face-off.

2 derbies in a row for LFC coming up. I'm gonna for a draw, 1-1 or 2-2...and a few red cards as per usual, which makes it alright for United in the following game

I don't smoke but I would like some good coffee.
Point is, North london derby's drama doesn't faze me.
Although I do go in supporting Arsenal.

I think both derbies are just as big as each other. Both games mean a lot to both sets of fans, so to say which one is bigger is pretty hard to do.

Arsenal fans comparing a derby in the corner north stone part of london to a historical derby between 2 (not 1) historical sides and asking me if i'm serious is quite hilarious.

Will never forget that bullshit game in which that piece of pathetic turd that is named clattenshitbag reffed 3 seasons ago or so when Everton got so robbed, one of the worst performances by a ref ever.

lol i dont like spurs but to say they are not an historic side? they were the first english team ever to win a European competition....plus they have had some great players in the past (glenn hoddle) and won a few titles, in the 50's they were one of the best teams. they are a historic team in england.

Every team has history but Arquitecto was mentioning in comparative terms.Compared with the history of Everton Tottenham's nothing really.Everton has won 4 times more league tiltes than Tottenham and are the fourth most successful club in English football. If anything their history is more comparable with Arsenal(3rd most successful) than Arsenal's with Liverpool (2nd).

Spot on BG, you read my mind.
Plus, in the end, there is a far more history, pedigree and tradition involved in the derby within this one than the north london derby.

AM I really going to have to send this to the RB section due to an argument about derbies?
Petty nonsense.

Re: Merseyside Fight Thread
So this weekend we have the "who's defence is worse" derby and the "who can kick the shit out of each other the most" derby. Nice variety. Should be good.

Re: Merseyside Fight Thread
lol the Merseyside side derby is called the "friendly derby" for a reason. you will have Liverpool fans sitting with Everton fans ffs lool. maybe on the pitch there are many red cards....although i don't know how that's shows passion, it just shows that Liverpool and Everton players cant tackle properly and are indisciplined when the pressure is on.
look i no the Merseyside derby is steeped in history, but arq is going on like the north London derby is shit or something and has no history. but i know of course the merseyside derby is historically more massive.

What an ignorant thing to say
If Liverpool players cant tackle under pressure then why do think they dont get much red cards in United - Liverpool derby.

Re: Merseyside Fight Thread
Who cares what derby is better?
Offers fantastic variety.
Everton vs. Liverpool a couple of years ago when Kyrgiakos snapped Fellaini's ankle was one of the most entertaining EPL games I've seen.
And the NLD is a goalfest cause neither team can defend for their lives.
Fantastic entertainment.
