Rival Watch - Page 35 Empty Re: Rival Watch

Well, things didn't go quite to plan, did they?

As it stands, then:

3. Arsenal - P36, 66 pts
4. Spurs - P36, 65 pts
5. Newcastle - P36, 65 pts

Remaining games:

Arsenal - Norwich (h), West Brom (a)
Spurs - Villa (a), Fulham (h)
Newcastle - Man City (h), Everton (a)

If Spurs and Newcastle both lose next Sunday and we beat Norwich on Saturday, we'll be guaranteed 3rd.

If we beat Norwich and one of Spurs or Newcastle lose, than we'll be guaranteed a top four finish.

You are right Jay things did not go our way, its the Arsenal way we always make it hard for our self's. Its good Chelsea are out now and Newcastle will have to give everything vs Man city and I Spurs will have a tough time vs Vila.

I think we just have no other choice but to win both our games and dont look for any help from other teams. I think this weekend we will see one of them drop points and I hope its Spurs.

4th = nothing. Watching CL final will be agony for whoever finishes 4th. F that.

We have to take 3rd. WE MUST!

2 games we have to win. We are playing against two sides not in great form and with little to play for. Anything less than 6pts = failure and a possible summer of hell for wenger.

No need to watch CL final to get nervous, I'm nervous now. On paper, we have the easiest draw but it's us so I'm sure the boys will once again lead us through another nerve wracking experience, hopefully we come out 3rd in the end though.

Lol.. I don't know abt you lot but I quite like this! If it weren't so screwed up, our boys wouldn't give it their best. I expect couple of great games now - not boring draws or embarrassing losses.

I agree with Sri we tend to perform well under pressure this season which isn't something that Arsenal has been known for but hey who can complain? Very Happy

Newcastle Utd - Manchester City starts in 15 minutes. Since there's no chat, I'll post sometimes here while watching the match.

Hopefully Newcastle vs City ends in a draw, and Villa manage to get atleast a point which I highly doubt anyway.

Whats the point of City drawing? You'd rather want City to win, as revolting as that may sound.

Let them win today and lose next weekend then.. Choosing between Man Utd's 20th title and Man City is worse than choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea..

Draw or lose, it doesn't make a difference at this stage as either way, we would need to beat West Brom next week to get third.

City has the possession, Newcastle trying to counter them. If both defences don't make silly mistakes this game can end in a draw.

City with more chances so far. Kompany with a beast dribble and then a more strange slip.

Come on Citizens just don't lose and you'll have done your betters a favor.

ALSO, I'm just letting everyone know that if Heskey assists/scores a goal that causes Tottenham to drop points, I will get his name printed on the back of a 2012/2013 Arsenal kit and wear it on every match day and make it my profile picture for the entire year (provided we get the CL spot)

Anyone wanna join me? Very Happy
