Talent and money as well. City are becoming very strong though, and I truly believe that our squad will not be good enough to compete if we don't sign at least one more quality player. Chelsea seem to be on the verge of spending too.

We did beat City last year, though, and it's the same squad plus Aguero and Clichy (scary Laughing). Adding another world class striker might seem like they're greatly strengthening but in reality they're going to find it difficult to fit them all in and get them all firing.

Well, Aguero can play as a winger too and, in that case, he's a definite step up from their current wingers.

I remember that we dominated City in both league matches last season, and that draw was just good defending and quite a bit of luck on their part. We hit the post 3 times or something. Still, you can't be sure of what to expect from them next season. If Mancini can get the squad to click, then we'd be in a bit of trouble.

That's the thing: Aguero can't play as a winger. He's 100% a centre forward and they won't be getting the best out of him if they play him anywhere else.

I think he is more of a replacement for Tevez, whose future is still in doldrums.. But yeah, they have a good squad and have also managed to taste some success.. That, more importantly, makes them a bigger threat..

"Manchester City didn't pay money for me because they saw me once on YouTube or something like that." Edin Dzeko. Does this mean City didn't see him at all before writing the cheque?

I think Dzeko is saying that City got him because they watched him play and was sure of his quality, not because of the hype surrounding him and his goalscoring exploits in the Bundesliga.

We should use this thread to discuss other matches in the Premier League.

Blackburn 1 - 1 Wolves (Formica; Fletcher)
Wigan 1 - 0 Norwich (Watson pen)

Sorry if this offends people, but to have "Dong" and "Wong" in the same name must be quite unfortunate. Laughing

Some of these far east asian names have a nice rhyme to them Smile [no offence, just think they sound different in a good way!]
