Managers and their character flaws
Arsene Wenger: Hubris. My way or the highway. I cannot be wrong. Even if I haven't won anything of note for 7 years.
Mourinho: Paranoia. Everyone's against me. Valdano, the referees, the clubs, the other managers, UEFA! FFS even the grass!
SAF: A taste for vengeance. Ask me a question I don't like in the press conference? No more press conferences for 8 years for you!
Can you guys think of any other ones?

Can I ask what has he done to make you think he has a warped and slightly demented interior?Lex wrote:Pep: Jekyll and Hyde character. Sports a sensible and charismatic exterior to hide a warped and slightly demented interior

He's alienated some of his past players, he seems to keep some things very close to his chest never explaining what his problem was with some players like Ibra, Eto'o, Toure.

King kenny has this WWF pay per view promoter attitude going on. Not to say thats a bad thing- because it gets the fans on his side. But the rant he went on today was bit childish and apparent who it was targeted towards. Lost a match? Blame Fergie

Where in his quotes is he having a go at or blaming Fergie?
- Spoiler:
- "We would like to be respectful to referees - and I'd like to think I have been - but more importantly than being respectful to the referees is having respect for my football club," he said.
"If I feel they are suffering in any shape or form I will need to go the same route other people go and see if we can gain some benefit from that.
"The first four league games have had contentious decisions in them and every one has gone against us.
"I'll speak to the owners first and see what they say because the last thing I want to do is for my behaviour to impinge on the club's success in any way."
Unlike many top-flight counterparts Dalglish stressed he had no issues with the way Stoke had played and praised their determination and resilience.
But he felt his side should have got more from a match they dominated and said he did not think Jamie Carragher had fouled Walters for the spot-kick.
"I think it is a bit of an understatement to say we deserved something from the game," added the Scot.
"We can only do what we can do ourselves, sometimes other things are taken outside your jurisdiction.
"If we continue to play with the same attitude and commitment then we will be okay this season.
"But if we continually get battered by things outside of our control we are not going to get much chance.
"We don't have any complaint about Stoke; they played hard and played well, they got the goal and defended courageously at times and maybe at times they got a bit of luck.
"We don't have anything but appreciation for the way they played and the way they held on to win the game.
"There is nothing for me to say which is anything other than complimentary to Tony and Stoke. But I just cannot see how it is a penalty kick."

No, of course those are his true colors. But he never claimed anything different. Those phrases don't contradict anything he ever said before.

How so?
I wouldn't show my true colors if I were winning 5-0 all the time either.
When did I say he contradicted himself, btw?

I'm confused as hell man. I'm saying that those are his true colors in the sense that that is really what he thinks of Mou's pressroom antics. I still don't understand how that video proves him to be tormented in the inside but classy on the outside.

Why did he curse then?
Why would a man as classy as him even need to?

He's not allowed to curse now? Could you explain your views in more than one sentence? I'm beginning to think you're trolling me

I'm only asking why, bro.

Re: Managers and their character flaws
He cursed because it was appropriate to the situation, I suppose. I don't really see how the cursing changes anything, since it wasn't an insult, it was an adjective. He said "Mourinho is the *bleep* master of the press room, he can get his own Champions League title for this competition, I'm not interested" essentially telling Mou that he can speak all he wants in the media, but he'll do his talking on the pitch, where it matters.

Re: Managers and their character flaws
Appropriate?
Hmm? Then, I suppose poking at someone's eye should be deemed appropriate according to the situation?
I'm guessing Mou must be just as classy then.

Re: Managers and their character flaws
Fallacious argumentation, that. Fully different situations and physical violence (yes, an eye poke is violence) is NOT comparable to using a curse word in an interview.Lord Hispano wrote:Appropriate?
