He is actually very good technically speaking, his first touch and one time passing is far superior to those his age at Madrid.

Truth is, i have never seen him playing a proper football game, so i cant say that he sucks or what not, and even so, at just 16, it's impossible to put an outright judgement on a player so young.

I do suspect that he isnt as good as people hype him up to be, of course he is zidane' son, so people expect extreme talent and potential, but it's an unfair expectation, and he has to live with it.

I dont think he is the most talented player in his age group, at least, it's not the perception i have of his talent level. I couldnt say who is the best u16 actually, maybe Pozo, maybe Benavente, not sure.

Usually those kids make a name for themselves by playing youth tournaments and doing well. i didnt see Enzo with RM u17 earlier this summer, dont know why he didnt get picked, there might be a reason.

We will see how good he gets as gets older tho, this was just a training session many players experienced in the past. Jose Rodriguez, best u17 player for us this summer, trained with the first team this week, and had no first page hype in spanish medias.

I think we should just keep his progression on the hush... Let's never take this to the General section. That way we avoid a potential future banana-skin...

Best example: Remember Cruyff's son: Jordi? Yup, neither do I :lol!:

Anyways, I'm pretty sure the kid will be good one day, I'm not willing to speculate now though.

i couldnt believe that was him in the picture. hes looking much older, i havent seen any update about him for years now i thought he was still 13-14 maybe.

but it is true there is some overhype happening because of his father, but this is expected.

Gio, I actually remember Jordi during his time at Alaves (or was it Malaga), that's about it.

Yup, good ol' Jordi, billed as a rising superstar, flopped at Man United, the rest is history.

Callejon on Enzo Fernández:
He looked great, it’s important for a 16-year-old player to train and learn from the older players. The canteranos have to realize that they’re given a great opportunity, they have to give 100 percent in order for the míster and us to congratulate them. Enzo has inherited some things from his father, like how he controls the ball…

I think it was a mistake from RM's website to shine the spotlight on enzo, he really doesn't need the attention. Living by his father's shadow constantly will harm him and hinder his development which you don't want to do.

He could be a good player, maybe a late bloomer but till now he's just a kid in Real Madrid.

I agree with Gio, I fear we may create our own Jordi. People forget that Jordi wasn't a bad player he just wasn't in his fathers class and compared to a man who is an undisputed top 10 player of all time, you're prolly always gonna look bad... I say we let Enzo do his thing, we expect squad rotation and anything better is a bonus!
I say Expect Jordi rather than Paolo...

@ Nick

He missed that U17 tournament because he was injured I believe. There is no doubt he is good for his age.

However he is still just a kid and really there is no need to put any extra pressure on him for no reason. I personally would have preferred they kept this on the hush hush.

P.S. The kid really looks like Kaka LOL
