I think the OP's really pushing it here. You can't tell if Fabregas improved over a few weeks... He'll improve over time, but right now, he's pretty much the same.

Okay, now I'll tell you what I really think : D. Fabregas has been good but nowhere near as influential as he is for Arsenal. The thread's premise is both incredibly premature and just not true. He's had far better games for Arsenal than Barca

I said the whole time we should buy Cesc just for the fact that at 30 Mill it was the deal of the century and if anyone else were buying him he would be sold for over 50 mill.

Arsenal were just in a bad position only being able to negotiate with one team.

I argued with all my fellow Barca fans and yes a lot were questioning how much he was worth but not because of his skill but because they thought we didn't need him so why pay the money for him. Some even bought the Bulls*** Rosell was shoveling that were some kind of poor club with no money which is the biggest farce ever, he just uses every chance he's in front of a microphone to bash Lapota.

As for Cesc playing better right now, it's too early to tell but if you know anything about sports competition brings out the best in players. He knows now if he runs into a bad patch of form he will get pulled which wouldn't happen at Arsenal and that will drive him to be the best player he can possibly be, there is no arguing that.

The definition of a team is a group of people that can achieve more together than individually. Barca is simply the best team in the world in this respect. It doesn't make bad players seem good - it maximizes the attributes of each player. Everyone is playing close to their potential. Key difference, easy to miss.

Terrible topic, the only thing worse is the pathetic yet typical responses from the vast majority.

No Barca fan has flipped flopped on the issue at all.

I dont know, perhaps people think that all Barca fans have one voice here nd one mind, therefore if one person says something negative about Cesc before the transfer (like myself) yet another fan says something positive after it, somehow they are flip floppers

Its actually a check for some Madrid fans to be saying this too...when Cristiano was at Man Utd, I still remember tons of Madrid fans calling him all the names under the sun..now, he is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

And for the record, everything I said before the transfer I keep to..unlike many of you, I dont change my mind because a player joined my club.

No he is not a better player.
He is still only the 4th best midfielder(pretty soon might be 5th best if Thiago has anything to say about it and pep gives him the chance) on the team and will still warm the bench for the big games.
A couple of tap ins dont make him a better player than he was at Arsenal.

No, I dont believe I did.

I said he isnt worth 40m, I said I wouldnt pay 35m for him (and then later said that is about fair value for him overall)....and also put it in context..I said both of those things meaning, if I was Barca I wouldnt pay that for him.

You are trying to make it sound like I said he isnt good enough to be deemed worth 30m to anyone. That obviously wasnt the case.
