no thats bs nick. though its all coentrao and his agent. if he really doesnt like drama then there shud be no wait for transfers to be completed.

Posturing is part of negotiating. Deals rarely get done early... most happen at the last minute of the last hour if both sides dig into their positions.
Nick is right... Perez does not like to do his negotiating in the media.

Re: Sergio Aguero Discussion
there ws no drama with benfica as far as RM is concerned, and nothing leaked out from Madrid about that deal. It was all the portuguese press. DId you hear about benfica cutting their relations with us, or any kind of story like that? it was all orchestrated, and benfica fans on the forum would tell you coentrao has too much respect for them to actually do all those things.
Drama is perceived from a public standpoint and It's a more complicated affair to buy the star player of a city rival; you dont drag that kind of soap opera for weeks in the media, by respect for club officials, perez wouldnt do it.
Atletico's officials got voted back in their position two weeks ago, what do you think would have happened to them if they were waging a lost war against us in the medias about aguero, if the player was forcing his way out to change club. They would have been fired.
It's like walking on glass, and by respect for the fans and patetico, there will be no drama, whether we sign him or not.
we were in a similar situation with macua about llorente, and it was a gentleman agreement between him and perez to wait till the elections of this summer are passed to move on llorente, so that macua has more chances to get reelected.
last, i heard the real clause on Sahin transfer was 8M, but by respect for Dortmund, we paid 10M. that's the kind of person perez is, and that's why people like him.

Aguero indirectly said he wanted to move to us. He's participating in the Copa America right now so he can't really do anything.

we will see something soon. argentina wont be in copa america for long.
Re: Sergio Aguero Discussion
I think Caminero is kinda giving us the green light to pay the clause with no worries of paying the taxes.
check out this interview
http://www.as.com/futbol/articulo/negociamos-kun/20110706dasdasftb_32/Tes
-he says there is no "firm" offer, which if we read between the lines might mean that there is interest, but never offered anything.
-he says they are ready for whichever offer, providing the clause is being paid.
interesting

St. Nick09 at it again, Madrid is not interested in Kun, else your officials wouldn't be in Brazil negotiating for Neymar at 45M not Kun...

Neymar is a January signing El Mystique... and he's not a #9 in any sense of the word. So think it thru and then criticize. Because whatever happens, he's not going to Juve methinks. If not to Madrid, i bet you the deal gets hijacked by someone else.

Re: Sergio Aguero Discussion
I can see how us negotiating for Neymar is a relief for you elm, but i wouldnt exclude Kun if i were you. Neymar is a long term project for next season and beyond.
regardless, for juventus to even get in the dance for kun, you still need to up your bid to around 40M, and that is very unlikely.

actually it is likely we could up it to 40m, all we needed was for Madrid to not be breathing behind our backs, trust me once we are assured of that, Kun will have no choice than to come to the black and white baby.
Would you not love that Nick, considering we are both black and white eh?

Re: Sergio Aguero Discussion
you guys never look at the bigger picture, and only think the world ends after kun.
marotta is trying to sign 3 players, why would he spend 45M on one and compromise his plans for the summer.
If a clear strategy was put forward to sign a CF, a LW and a DM, why would he go against it?

Agüero's father said to Argentinian radio station that Kun will play at Atletico for next two years (to end of his contract).

Edit: seeing as mou wants a 3rd striker, effectively screwing morata over, how likely is aguero now?

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/934335/sergio-aguero-reaffirms-desire-to-quit-atletico-after-copa?cc=5739
Aguero, 23, is one of the most sought-after young strikers around with the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester City tracking him. And the Argentine is keen to further his career away from Atletico, having made his desire to leave clear last month.
Now, speaking from his homeland, Aguero underlined his desire to find a new club once more.
"I will not return to Atletico, it is clear," he told ESPN. "I talked to the club, gave a statement, now my representatives are negotiating my departure from the club.
"I don't know when the agreement will be, but I will know when the Copa America is finished."
--------
It's basicly what I've been saying, we haven't stopped negotiating with Aguero it's just that the deal won't be over until Argentina is out of Copa America.

Have a bet with Hala that Aguero would come to Madrid before the transfer window closes. I hope Real Madrid don't f*** me over on this one.

Meh, he is coming. Mourinho said we're signing 1 more striker, most likely Aguero IMO. I don't think he meant Neymar, I'm sure he knows Neymar is no striker.

Re: Sergio Aguero Discussion
I don't think we're really after Aguero anymore. Despite what the Santos prez is trying to do, has zero power in what Neymar decides since we're paying the exit fee. We'll even pay him more wages than Santos after all the sponsors they lined up. The international revenues generated by Madrid for Neymar will dwarf anything Santos can do... so he'll make exponentially more on his image rights, even at less than 100%.
It all comes down to whether Neymar will leave now or in January. My personal guess is that he'll come to Madrid now.
It's a shame really. If the Santos prez was not jockeying for Barca so much, Madrid would probably be cooperative. But we have to treat it as a hostile takeover now.
