Barca vs Madrid in a nut shell
Round one's over. What a disappointment! All my fears came to hunt me this time around.
Barca were very efficient in this game. Sure they didnt control the game as they wish they would, but they were able to translate two moments into magic. They were the more calm and composed of the two teams. We were exposed to what i have been telling you all about since last season. Barca knows this by heart now.
Reasons behind the two goals:
1) Iker the terrible. This goal-keeper has negative chi written all over him. He invites balls to his net, and almost every strikers' appetite is magnified 10s of times when they encounter this hunk of man. Iker better start thinking about modeling instead of guarding our goal net. We should leave this job to more capable men.
One might argue that the first goal is not his fault entirely, and i wouldnt completely disagree about that but with better positioning or shall i say a bit of luck (Iker has run out of luck, he has negative chi written all over his hand gloves) and an extra 3 to 4 inches to his stature, he would have managed to touch the ball into a safety zone.
Anyhow, we cant blame him completely for the first goal. It was a classy act of magic from Villa. If anyone can do a curvy shot like that one over and over again, it would be the amazing david villa. Barcelona's finest striker at the moment and since last season. That's how Barca sunk Man United last year by the way.
terrible Iker is also to blame for the second goal. Sure Pepe slipped (You cant actually mark a 5' 6" player who is exceedingly fast with the ball) with three 6' 1" plus defensive midfielders. The outcome is flawless clumsiness.
All this ofcourse has nothing to do with Terrible until we start talking about more than just tactics. Iker as i said earlier, is very inviting to all sorts of troublemaking near the goal. There's not a single striker in the entire world that fears him. He's always clumsy, and lacks the confidence when it comes to heroic moments. Sure he displays a few good saves for some shots aimed from outside the penalty box every now and then, but that's never enough. He has some good reflexes, i give him that. For this reason and more Messi knew it was a goal before he even scored. Expect more poor displays in future clasicos from terrible iker.
second biggest flop was marcelo. The guy is hopeless when it comes to defending. We should trash him / offload him to where ever he is welcomed. We were very lucky sanchez is not yet in his greatest form with barcelona, but he will soon shape with their philo.
See you in round 2. Hala Madrid!.

Iker is a great goalkeeper we all know that.
But last 2 seasons he has been shaky.
And for some reason he cannot save a shot from Messi to save his life. 3 shots on goal 2 into goal. Not impressed.

Re: Barca vs Madrid in a nut shell
Well... i mean all three of Messi's shots against Casillas were on one-on-ones. Messi will win 90% of those, if not more.
