Defensive reinforcements are most needed but I'm sure they'll come- it will have been a priority from the beginning. Roma just needed a revolution with lots of new players as they were going stale and they've got one- now defenders.

I'd support Lugano- he'd be solid for a year or 2 and then let the young guns move in when the chemistry is much better.

Isnt Perrotta too old and slow to be in first XI?

Defenders is what we need! Likes of Burdisso, Rosi and Heize failed BIIIIIIIIIIIIG time against Valencia

Perrotta suits Luis Enrique's system far better than with Ranieri's. Yes he's 33 and he doesn't have the legs he had circa 2006, but he's still got plenty to give to the Roma cause and I think he'll be a vital cog in the machine once again as 3rd captain.

Also another thing with De Rossi and Fernando there's enough defensive steel there for Lamela to play AM iam certain he has what it takes to be Roma's Iniesta or Deco allowing a front 3 of Bojan, Totti and who ever you sign as Vucinic's replacement maybe.....
