2011/2012 PREDICTION GAME

The 2011/2012 season is officially here and our prediction game is back!!

For posters new to the game see below the full rules of the game and for those of us who have played in the game other the past 2 seasons don't forget to brush up!!

RULES:

1- For a correct W/L/D prediction you get +1/-1 points (If you predict a win and Arsenal draw or lose you get -1 point etc.)
2- For a correct match result you get 10 points
3- For each goal scored in a 10 minute time range (only one, e.g 35th - 45th min) you get 5 points
4- Maximum goalscorers and goal predictions allowed are 3 and you get points based on the type of player according to this:-

Striker = 3 Mid-fielder= 4 Defender= 5

GK= 20

One player can be chosen to score multiple goals however, but remember only 3 goal predictions can be made. Examples Van Persie, Walcott & Wilshere or Van Persie x2 & Walcott or Van Persie x3.


The deadline for posting predictions is the kickoff time for each game!!

I'd like to recommend something: since the points vary depending on the position the goalscorer plays in, it might be wise to construct a list of positions the players play in. For example, would we be considering players like Walcott and Gervinho midfielders or strikers? Technically, they don't belong to either category - more of a blend of the two.

We could base it off majority vote.

Wouldn't it rather depend on where they play in which match? maybe we can use the line ups in the Live threads of the match as an indication.. Or a general consensus on what the position is, when the player comes on as a substitute..
