Pues que les dige.
I knew right from the beginning that Defensive Football is te key to deafeating Spain.
Mind you this is just a friendly, but it's been already been proven the Defensive minded teams are Super Effective (yeah Pokemon reference, sue me) against Attack minded teams.

Re: Italia v España -The Convivial Battle of the Peninsulas-
italy looked impressive, i have to say team work, buildup play was impressive since 2006.
still Spain are superior to Italy, but Italy showed yesterday a great character, potential, they surely are possessed atm with lot of quality than lippis team.
prandelli 's squad is a work in progresss i hope by few years they become even better.
would love to see more matri and giovinco playing as well. personally i think matri is a better striker than pazzini. surprised to see criscito playing so well. maggio was great too.
im more worried for azzurini than senior national team... azzurini has been so poor of late, all the under 20s 19 18 17 squad has been really poor of late and they havent really impressed at all.

Bit late to party, but do you realize what you say ?
Criscito started at Juventus. As did Nocerino. As did Balzaretti. As did Giovinco, who is still owned 50% by Juventus. As did De Sanctis who is a third-keeper usually. As did Cassani.
Pirlo = Juventus, albeit he is a new addition, still Juventus.
Buffon.
Marchisio.
Chiellini.
In the future, definitely Matri and/or Quagliarella.
Perhaps Bonucci.
Did you forget 2006 ?
Italia would not be where it is today without Juventus so settle down. People are so quick to insult based on one World Cup but forget 2006 and even 1982 where a certain Juventus player single-handedly won the World Cup for Gli Azzurri.
Food for thought.

Re: Italia v España -The Convivial Battle of the Peninsulas-
Thanks you for the compliments.
As for the performances, I am not surprised by some as I always knew the talent and potential is there, yet Cesare is a superb leader and brings out the best in everyone.
Azzurini? Ciro Ferrara is not meant to be a manager as he is using most if not all the players incorrectly and in situations that are not suited to them.
I would love to see the underrated manager that is Claudio Gentile return as Ciro does not possess the experience to handle this side.

This delusional fan can't realize that Italy have won all four World Cups with mostly Juventus players, even those 'losers' from Calciopoli squad. I lol'd when I saw that post.

No but wait. 2010 was all Jube's fault !
Too bad people forget 1934, 1938, 1982, and 2006. One bad year and it is our fault.
As I say to people who say that, does your team contribute ?
Milan = Cassano. Bought this year. Great job getting foreign.
Inter = Thiago Motta and Pazzini and Ranocchia. Motta just got his Italian citizenship, Pazzini just bought. Ranocchia just partially bought. Nice.
Roma = De Rossi.
So put up, or shut up.

This person claims, Buffon is retiring soon which is completely false. She claims Marchisio is not good enough for the national team, where on earth has this person's knowledge to football gone too?

BUMP
And so after seeing an all to stretched out evening which involved yet another series of UEFA Sec Gianni Infantino making people all round him feel awkward (even MVB) with his cringeworthy jokes and an atrocious song in the end, the draw has been made.
Sadly it had to be with 2 of my nations facing off each other.
Yet, this is no friendly as this is a face-off which is critical to their own success depending on their group finish.
Quite a dilemma here for my siblings and I.
Why UEFA why?

Re: Italia v España -The Convivial Battle of the Peninsulas-
The same tactics as in the friendly game. Puyol isn't out but seriously out of shape this time around Also expect a lot of pressing from Spain. A draw is most likely...babun1024 wrote:The tiki taka tactics are perfect against physical, brainless sides (lack of tactics, not stupid). Italy struggles against fast paced sides. In Spain, anyone hardly moves without the ball, they accelerate only in short distances then pass again. Italy never had problems with a proper counter attack tactic, Serie A went bad but all of them know how to behave in a defensive formation. Add to that they have Rossi and Balotelli, they don't ask twice before scoring. Puyol is injuredArquitecto wrote:I would like to hear more constructive posts.
All in all, 0-0 or Italy will win. You have to outrun them to break their defense, Spain doesn't have a fit Torres. By the way, the game will be extremly boring for neutrals. Italy: 5-3-2-1, Spain: 4-5-1

I agree, quite strange to see this happening.

I really don't mind at all if its even in your name.
Request for the modification however you want. Heres the catch though:
You PM RG/mods on how you want it. I'm feeling lazy.

F**k me
Both my nations face-off again as its quite the predicament when you support both intensively enough to have them face-off within the most crucial match.
Side Note: Italia within the span of 1 year have reached:
U-17 Final
Euro 2012 Final
& Now U-21 Final.
Italia on decline? Kindly go.

Marrone will be missed heavily.
Looking forward to this very much.
Definitely both teams deserving of the place in the Final.
The future is bright. But the future is not orange

Marrone HAS been missed Father. More than anyone thought.
I'll write a whole preview on this but I am so proud of Italia's performance. Being beat down nearly yet typically clutch & superb under pressure to clinch the result.
Sacchism has one today.
Il Moscar has exploded in his pants.
