So... does Fontás come in or will Barca spend? I think they'll just keep on trying with the youth.

Superb, about time. Was starting to get worried Pep was convincing Milito to stay on again.

Re: Milito off to Independiente
I'm a little sad, after he made his awesome comeback, that he just wasn't the same. But all the best to him, he's not really helping Barca that much anymore so...it's good that we don't have to put him in.
Good luck Milito!
Good luck Milito!

Luckily, we have Machete as Messi's argentine pal, otherwise we should have to spend big to sign one.

Re: Milito off to Independiente
Gd Luck Gabi
LCB: Puyol, Abidal ,Fontas & Muniesa
RCB: Pique, Masch, Bartra & S.Gomez
Gomez & Muniesa still need time but i think it will be very useful for them if we give them some playing time in the Copa! S.Gomez was decent yesterday when he played alongside with Pique, same for Fontas!

Re: Milito off to Independiente
Pep saved no praise for this one:
"I've seen few players have the competitive edge Gabi has. His career proves it. His happiness comes from playing. It was an honor to be his coach. Any other player would have given up after sustaining an injury like his. He goes home, but he knows he will always have us here. We'll try to make up for his absence with a canterano."

Re: Milito off to Independiente
Yeah, all insults aside and my joy of him leaving I dont want to make it seem like I dont appreciated what he has done and how much respect I have for him coming back from those utterly terrible injuries.
Many players would of gave up, many players wouldnt of made it back, so I do wish him the best and hope his remaining years can be as injury free as possible.

Re: Milito off to Independiente
alfred and dani, I share your sentiments. He has never caused any problem for us intentionally and has only ever tried his very best despite all the unfortunate occurrences. We can only wish him all the very best.
Re: Milito off to Independiente
Good luck to Gabi, it was the right time for him to go, sad to see such a good player go down like that from an injury. He served us well, thank you Gabi.

Wish him all the best.
Kind of worried that we are mot signing a quality CB as I dont think Fontas is anywhere near Barca level.I could be wrong though.
On the cantera boys I like Bartra.I have seen much but from what I have seen he looks quality and could make it in the first team.
