xabi just needs proper support in the midfield. he played a much more advanced role for spain in a friendly and he did great with the team supporting him.

I agree - that is why I have been rooting for David Silva in the past, they play really well together.

Anyway, more defensive help would come with Sahin.

He played a way more advanced role at Liverpool too.

Alonso is definitely a box to box player mt. He doesn't do it so much at Madrid because we need to him to link with the defense... he was our main link from defense to offense.

Watch his liverpool tape. The guy can really do it all.

Indeed, I never quite get the whole "Alonso is not a box-to-box player, so we need Khedira for that" argument.

agreed i swear no matter how good ron plays everyone(media) gonna try to make out to be second best at everything compared to you know who and make the gap look huge when there really is non
