Re: Zamp: Pastore sale is hours away
I love the shiity press. Here's a direct quote to clear things up.
"It's not true and this news [of Pastore joining PSG] is an invention," Zamparini told Stadio News.
"Tomorrow his agent [Marcelo] Simonian will be in London to meet Chelsea."

I can tell you right now that in the Americas, no one remembers or gives a shit who or what Torres is doing.
Everyone's concentrated on Barca and Madrid.
I don't know the rest of the world, but I know in Africa Drogba and Mikel would sell more, in Asia I honestly don't know. Europeans, well, we have plenty here, but Torres dropped off stardom a few years ago, anyways.

I have a pretty decent hunch that Ronaldinho, Iniesta and a few others outsell Torres jerseys now. Again, not just the UK... i need to reinforce that because it's a hard concept for British football fans.
WORLD consists of millions of people in Asia as well.. When Torres transfered last January he was still one of the hottest marketable players available. I couldn't find a single Torres jersey here in SL Imagine countries like Malaysia, Thailand and Honk Kong where Chelsea is a pretty popular club. Friendly matches were house full.. and then there is Africa as well.. I'm not saying that Chelsea has bigger fan bases than Madrid or Barca for instance.. but its not small either. It has grown.. bandwagoners or not.. its grown!

Just in case you missed this... Pastore linked with Chelsea moreso than PSG. BS reporting earlier apparently.

Re: Zamp: Pastore sale is hours away
Palermo ace Javier Pastore could be on his way to Chelsea, after club president Maurizio Zamparini claimed a meeting will take place with the Premier League club on Friday.
The Argentina ace looks set to leave the Serie A club this summer, and if claims by the Palermo chief are true could be in London at the end of the week to thrash out a deal with Andre Villas-Boas' side.
"Tomorrow his agent [Marcelo] Simonian will be in London to meet Chelsea," Zamparini told Stadio News.
Sky Sport Italia earlier reported that Paris Saint-Germain had beatedthe Blues in the race to sign the playmaker, with Pastore expected to sign a deal with the ambitious French outfit, but Zamparini played down those claims as the transfer saga takes another major twist.
"It's not true and this news [of Pastore joining PSG] is an invention," he said.
But the Palermo president admitted his star man was heading for the exit door, yet only if a deal could be reached with a forgein club.
"The only thing that is certain is that he is going abroad," he added to Radio Radio.
"We are in the decisive days now and I think Pastore is just one of a few world-class players, but I won't say where he is going, even under torture.
"The offers are between €40 million [£34.9m] and €50m [£43.6m]."
PSG director Leonardo was asked on Thursday whether his club had sealed a deal for Pastore, but he said there "is nothing concrete".
Pastore joined Palermo from Huracan in 2009 and instantly became a fan favourite in Sicily, being considered one of the best young talents in the Italian top flight.

He's already sold Sirigu to PSG so I'd imagine it would be there.
I thought Zampa was okay before today.

Re: Zamp: Pastore sale is hours away
Here's the scoop here... Chelsea's offer is significantly less than PSG, both in terms of transfer fee and salary. Representatives from Palermo (maybe the player's agent; although i haven't heard that) are in London to see if the offer is raised. If not, PSG gets him. Pastore himself would prefer Chelsea, but would be happy with PSG as well.
So it's all about the money and whether Chelsea decide to get closer. Today's the day, although an announcement will not be made until Monday apparently.

Re: Zamp: Pastore sale is hours away
Mate Palermo has said that both PSG's and Chelsea's offers are good enough. Pastore can literally pick one over the other because the transfer fee is acceptable to the club.
The agent is in London to see if Chelsea offer higher wages, as PSG are offering 85k a week reportedly.
As long as we don't offer him peanuts it would be really stupid if Pastore decided to join the French league over an established PL and CL side just because he'll get a little bit more. His career is more important than money. I really don't know why he's (reportedly) considering PSG at all.

Not accurate. I'm not basing my information on newspaper articles... i have access to people with a little more insight. Money is bigger coming from PSG or there would be no debate where he was headed if this wasn't the case. The gap needs to be lessened. All depends if Chelsea decide to set up their offer.
