I just wonder what changed lass's mind about playing in tottenham. Was it the club not accepting the offer or him not agreeing to the personal deal.

Anyway having a true DM is always great. He'll be very useful come January when we start playing games every 3 days [even the CL in the next 3 months]

Its basically giving him out for free without breaking his contract, it finishes next year. I don't think any team actually wants him after what he did with hercules [or his music vid, pick either on].

As long as 3 out of Xabi, Khedira, Coentrao and Sahin are healthy, Lass will never see the field. But of course, Sahin is injured and Khedira has been injury-prone with us... so he's useful to have. Granero is pretty much useless because of his weak defense and "nothing special" offensive skills imo.

Interesting. The hold-up on 3 of the last 4 (Gago the exception) was salary. They had difficulty in getting someone to accept their salary and were unwilling to take a pay cut!!! Leon, Drenthe and Lass. All deals end up being loans with option to buy next year. IT's a way of getting rid of them but giving buying team some romm to negioiate down the salary next year. Lass gets to stay because Mou wanted him in first place but hearing about him insisting on keeping his 4.5 M salary makes you wonder about his desire for more playing time, French NT rationale for leaving. He will only get time late in games and as long as we have MF injuries.

Given the injuries, it's not bad insurance to have him, but I don't care for the attitude especially since there seems to be much better team chemistry this year.

Lass realized this summer that Blanc doesn't rate him much and he would need to beat out M'Vila, Diarra and Matuidi. No chance with the first two... and not much of one with Matuidi.

So he stayed with the money lol.
