Starfield

Starfield is set in an area that extends outward from the Solar System for approximately 50 light-years called The Settled Systems. Around the year 2310, the two largest factions in the game, the United Colonies and Freestar Collective, engaged in a conflict called the Colony War. The game takes place 20 years after the war, with the major factions enjoying an uneasy peace. The player assumes the role of a customizable character who is a member of Constellation, an organization of space explorers.
Thoughts? it looks as if Mass Effect had a child with Elder Scrolls.

Hyped. I think it's going to do well. Looks great, but will wait as buggy launches are more of a certainty than not these days.

Todd didn't want to generate too much random outpost/base because its too gamey, and he want us to have a feeling of "I'm the only person to land in the planet!"
surveying 100% of 1 planet give you research data that worth a lot of money that you can sell
You can get ailment if your space suite didn't fit the planet
No Land Vehicle
companion can mad at you depending on the choice you made
4 main constellation companion is the one that support quest line and romance
"technically... yes" to all robot companion
Radio station? Only 1, pretty much local to certain location. that you can dial on to when you're away
all Ship upgradeable even the one you steal
but that Ship need to be registered (cost credit)
inner part of the ship is customizable
Expect Outpost and Ship Building have very deep system
Outpost can be your economic generator

Been watching EA streams, and seems like easy GOTY. Gonna upgrade my GPU to 7800 XT to get free version of the game.

That's my problem, it just looks so outdated. I don't know why Bethesda refuses to scrap and renew their engine. Skyrim in space is not a good formula as for the most part space in an empty cold dead vacuum with scattered planitesmals without the culture or richness of something like Skyrim.

With the space flight part of the game, they did great considering the restrictions of the engine, it's fun and very well made. RPG-part of the game is one of the best I've ever seen. FPS is great, and then there's ship building, base building, resource gathering... You could spend hours in cities just talking to people without shooting a shot. There's about 200k lines of dialogue which is about twice that of Skyrim and FO4 together. The game is freaking massive, and pretty perfect sandbox for future mods.
At some point they'll have to lose their legacy code which is restricting them, but they can't lose moddability, or they lose themselves.
The game is looking fine, producing some unreal visuals.

Myesyats was being sarcastic, it has its fair share of white people.
I have played it for 10 hours so far, it actually feels extremely similar to Mass Effect but the gameplay is superior to ME.
I'm hooked on the faction quests, each them of are long them to make you feel they are standalone DLCs.

It's such a fun game to play. I've played 20 hours so far and am still enjoying it. It's totally worth buying.
