Jesus turning into R9 ever since he heard of the Arsenal links will never not be funny.

He’s finally getting consistent minutes. Have no idea why Sterling plays over him. Jesus is the better overall player with more in his locker

Might play not the best team after the difficult SF, but yeah as always hope Arsenal make it over the rest of the lot.

Mata at 46 is still 10 times better than Rashford, Sancho and Elanga

Not beat but might be just enough that Liverpool will be the first to throw away points at this stage and it could be against Spurs. I just don't believe that this time both teams will finish the season without dropping a single point till the end.

Chelsea have Leeds Leicester and Watford to finish it. With Arsenal and Spurs playing a NLD you have to imagine there isn't any way for them to bottle it but they've been in absolutely horrid form recently and if Arsenal win their game in hand they'd be ONE point behind Chelsea. Tottenham would be 3!

Pool bottling the league
As I said, season will mean nothing if they don't win the CL or PL
Also tired of English pundits wanking over all that talk about winning the quadruple. At least will shut them up for a good while.

Nah, its a great season by Liverpool even if they don't win anything.
Tired of this trend where a season is only defined by trophies. Shit only started in 2010 when Barca made Doubles and Trebles ordinary and teams like Juve, Bayern, and City outspent their competition to win everything easily.
Hopefully, we return back to a time when winning 3-5 major trophies in a decade is a big achievement.

and this the second time I am asking you to stop speaking from your arse because it you sound like a prime fucking depressed plastic. We can't bottle something we have been chasing for the past 14 PL games where the opponent still has the upper hand.
This season will go down in history for us and I could not give a fucking shit how you will sleep tonight and forget it fighting for the top 3 in Serie zz tomorrow.
This team has made us proud, we knew the quad was never a possibility but the fact was that it was on, and it will be on till the 14th and that's the closest any English side that has gotten to it and that is what it matters to us.
Last season, Klopp is in a decline, this season don't win the Quad so they are shite. When will it end Robbie?
While you are at it, why don't you take a break from reading English pundits?
This Liverpool team is greatest I and probably most of us have seen in the past 18 years of supporting the club that never wins so nothing you guys say will ever take it away and stop trying. We can go on to lose every competition still to play but the fact is that you need to learn to enjoy Football in the moment and not at the result, because I cannot even fathom your perspective of the game where trophies is the only thing that gives you an erection.

Had said it, Spurs will be the game where finally this race ends. But just an incredible feeling that l it went on for so long and it was always going to be in City's hands anyways !

Liverpool - 100s of crosses into the box, 3 shots on target, and one deflected goal.. Brilliant attacking football
— Baba Voss (@Blackboy_twits) May 8, 2022
Spurs - defensive setup, with excellent counter attacks, and 3 shots in target.
100% sure klopp liked spurs tactics when they took 6 points From city thou https://t.co/KyEmxn2jqe

Why not? It's a great season for Pool fans sure but this Pool team is being heralded as one of the greatest sides ever in PL era by pundits and fans alike. What better metric to decide this based on the trophies they could potentially win?
Leverkusen were inches away from a CL and BL double in 2002 but how many people actually remember them having a 'great season' apart from Leverkusen fans?
How long are Liverpool going to hold on to their underdog status? They're beyond that now. They're an elite club that's expected to win trophies every year. The stakes are higher and with that comes the expectations.
This is a club which also spends a shitload of money just like every other team in the PL and they also signed a shirt sponsorship deal worth nearly 100M a season recently. Please don't give me that shit about funds.
Pep is a clown and gets bashed for bottling a CL semi-final but Klopp should get a pass for bottling an important game in the league?
After getting so far, finishing the season with Carabao or FA Cup would definitely be a disappointment. Kudos to Klopp if he does manage to win PL or CL though.

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
I disagree with the bottling stuff mainly because Liverpool never actually were in a position to bottle it as they've been playing catch up since January.
With respect to trophies and clubs, it depends on what is expected of them. I would like to think for a big club in the PL, the minimum expectation is to challenge for the title. To which, Liverpool has done to the best of their abilities. From my own POV, Liverpool has had a successful season but only Klopp and his staff would know what is required of his team from the board. We, as fans, would have our own barometer. Of course, I prefer to see Pool fans suffer ...
As for Klopp and his comment about what style he prefers, he's just bitter his lads dropped points. Normal stuff really.

If Tottenham won yesterday I'd think it's a *possibility* considering the form of Chelsea. It still is, but it's all but secured now.

Only got to watch the second half yesterday and although I agree with Klopp re: the football, have to say that Spurs created the better chances. Spurs bottled it. They should have won that game, and were unlucky to tie it on a deflection. It was a poor game by Liverpool's standards as they couldn't find a way to generate any opportunities
