Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
United desperately need a coach and his team who can improve players by training. No matter how much you spend on a player, it is not going to help.
With that said, unbelievable that Arsenal can be only 2 points behind title challengers Chelsea if they win the game in hand

Lvg is still the best united coach in the post saf era. Change my mind.

van Gaal was terrible for United. None have been anything particular but Ole and Mourinho were the closest in terms of best in Post-SAF.

As toxic as he was Mourinho at least brought some level of expectations appropriate to United and won some trophies.
With Sollskjaer the standard was lowered to being happy about playing young players and bringing "stability" while regressing as a club.

Thank God Milan dodged Rangnick as already I was skeptical about him.
Not only is he annoying and miserable on another spectrum he is entitled to take control of the entire club akin to SAF to Wenger despite having won a grand sum of fuck all.
Man has no imagination and yes yes he is good with youth and building teams but is well out of his depth here. Total bum.

So many fans wanted to kick Maldini and co. out and give all the power to Rangnick to do whatever he wanted with AC Milan of all clubs

Man, we seriously dodged a bullet with Rangnick. Boban died for this ffs , nevermind his host of requested players (Szobosalai and Kabak ffs), guy tried to beef with Ibra from the back of a Mercedes before he infamously put him down.
This is the problem with new fans that think gegen pressing is the only way to play football. Cant wait 'til it dies out.

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
I wanted Pioli out as he does lack imagination at times and is better suited to mid-table expectations but has evolved a great deal this year and is terrific at managing the squad. An indicator of that is if you manage Zlatan well you can manage anyone.
Ralf simply is a control freak who expects control despite being an average manager for the most part.

Its different to want Pioli out and replace him with a coach than replace everyone and give all the power to one person.

The real loser of it all, justice for Boban.

Depends. If you mean the best after Mourinho, then yeah, you are correct.

United are just laughable now. I will now readily admit I used to shake at my knees at facing them no matter how good Rafa's LFC were but now they really are just another team.
Average manager, finished CR7, outdated inflexible tactics and bar Sancho no one else really special in attack. Rashford finally has had people realise being a hero outside the field DOES NOT mean you are a good player as the boy is bang average and has reached his ceiling.

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
I don't want to sound arrogant, but if it wasn't obvious after Moyes' tenure, I think it should at least be a little more apparent by now that team building has been a consistent problem since SAF resigned as the club's manager. I, for one, refuse to believe that any manager is going to be able to come in and change that situation. It changes when the club decides that it's a problem that needs to be addressed. Changing managers only papers over the cracks, and I don't know why any manager would want to be in charge of this Man United side unless there's a promise of squad improvement or some concrete degree of influence over transfers.
They went a full decade without a sporting director, and that could probably be excused if they were doing a decent job without one, but that's clearly not the case. A lot of money has been wasted on players in key positions who, through their skill sets seem to veer towards a playing style that's set up more defensively.
With sprinkles of Pogba, Alexis Sanches, Donny Van De Beek and the likes, you have a team that's evidently looked quite disjointed and should serve as a text book example of how team building doesn't translate to simply acquiring players who excel at whatever. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that players have been losing value at Man United over the past decade, and that might explain why the club's had issues in trying to ship out and replace some of them.
The club's transfer activities have been absolutely disastrous for the longest time, and the way I see it, getting back on track is primarily dependent on the club being able to get that right before they decide who's best suited to organize things. The fact that acquiring a new manager effectively serves as a form of fire extinguisher is probably a good thing from the point of view of the owners, as it distracts away from issues that can just be pushed into the future, but that doesn't mean that they go away.

It was also the most bitched about period so I have a feeling their fans feel differently, although granted the last time United were relevant at anything.

Also its now becoming clearer with each game that Ole has done far more damage to this club than Mourinho. Worst of the lot hands down.

The coordination between Liverpool attackers is shocking. Klopp seems appalled by it and rightly so.

Job done and that should have been a red for Sanchez, another scandalous VAR decision but anyways Diaz is okay and not injured and we take the three points.

I make effort to watch every Liverpool game and i can say that amount of balls Salah and Mane give each other is way less than what it should be.

That has always been the case tbh since about 3 years. Firmino has the highest assists for the front 3 with Salah a distant second. Mane way far behind in teeing up the traditional front 3.
