Hopefully, Rangnick knows how to spot the right talent for the club, and the club provides the funds necessary to acquire those players. It’s not unlikely that Pochettino arrives in the summer, and that’s not going to solve anything without some squad changes.

From what I heard from commentators and some people online the Everton player was offside, therefor it ruled out the PK. Didn’t see the angles and or anything yet but I’m sure will see them eventually.

Edit: Now I'm hearing that VAR couldn't detect on what part of the arm the ball hit rofl

Isn't that what VAR was put in place for? I get the refs, but VAR...

I don't think that was a penalty. Ball to hand, spin of the bounce bamboozled Rodri. And it wasn't a dangerous scenario. No Everton player within Rodri's proximity.

I wouldn't criticize Kepa too much and not sure of Mendy was enough fit. Kepa just got tense that's all. Any other day he would have saved the penalty from Konate probably.

he dived too early on that penalty, not so much about being tense. He was obviously tense though for his own penalty kick.

btw, remind me again what would have happened if he scored... do all 11 players from both sides start over again or do the reserves have to take penalties too?

This trophy was good for Liverpool in terms of momentum and taste of the silverware to motivating them now throughout the remaining season. Not easy to last the whole season under Klopp. Most important thing, Klopp finally won a trophy at Wembley :bow:
