Seems like a neat player.

Though there's something that annoys me about guys like him. I'm not sure what to call it, but some players are so left footed that it looks like they play on one leg, and he looks like that type. He'd rather do a spinaroonie to control the ball on his left than even think about using his right. You can see it in the way he runs with the ball.

Extremely one-footed to the point he is like Quaresma who will use his stronger foot for literally everything when forced onto his weak one. Is a good player no doubt but cannot see why he is valued this highly plus his magic was done in the Eredivisie.

He isn't worth 100M at all. Hell, 50M is a stretch.

Though I don't think he'll flop. Ten Hag is just going to tell him to hug the touchline and play a simple role. He'll take on his man 1v1, put a cross in, or cut-in then shoot sometimes. I think United fans will be quite receptive of him if that's his responsibility.

He's ok. I think the idea of this deal is more the hope that he will become great in the future. Ignore the price tag if you don't want to disappointed.

Yea paying(overpaying) for potential, especially since Ten Hag supposedly knows how to unlock it.

I don't have high hopes tbh, but I don't have high hopes in general when it comes to United these days. Almost every great player that arrived at United played like shit in the post Fergie era. Imagine how a hot prospect would turn out to be, if the accomplished players failed to deliver and perform well. I don't see a sexy future for him, unless somehow everyone starts performing well consistently and then young players like Antony will have a platform in which they can develop and actually grow up to their potential, which is highly unlikely. Something's rotten at United, not sure what, but it must be something more than what is visible to the public.
