What do you guys think about this one, is there any difference between best form by a player at the moment and best player at the moment on the player?
The talk of Salah being the best player is somehow funny. In my opinion, a consistent player till the end of December (or minimum 5 to 6 months) should be in the discussion of best player on the planet.

well it's hard to overcome the standards and zeitgeist that Messi and Ronaldo have built around them when it comes to that discussion. I would say a year is a good enough duration to qualify for that discussion though, and yes currently Salah is displaying the best form of any footballer worldwide.

Tielemans then Vardy... both with a level of difficulty more than Greenwood's though, Tielemans had to be inch perfect, Vardy probably smashes in a couple of those per season

things were fine until they forced ronaldo, a player he didn't ask for, on top of him

United are too easy to keep possession against because Ronaldo and Pogba are inefficient pressers and Matic doesn't have the legs anymore.

McTominay and Fred is their best CM pairing because while they aren't outstanding at any one thing, they're decent all-rounders who provide balance. Then they can carry one of Ronaldo or Pogba, but not both, and definitely not against difficult opponents like Leicester.

OGS was doing fine when he had Cavani up front and Pogba playing LW because at least Cavani pressed and the centre was better protected. But now he's got Ronaldo to deal with too and he's a double-edged sword. He'll score goals and decide games for United but weaken them without the ball. Now OGS has pressure to play all his stars at once, and we all know how that tends to turn out.

Maguire had a masterclass today.

Although he's nowhere near his best... Varane is still the best defender by far for Man U.
