Inter is particularly broke which we enjoy, we are losing Ronaldo which our rivals enjoy, nothing weird to understand.
Next summer things will start to return to normality with stadiums half-full this season.
im super impressed by ausilio and marotta though. they literally have to secure upto 250 million in less time and they have made smart moves with salary cuts while selling lukaku but appropriately replacing him with dzeko and they even have correa and dumfries.
its incredible business. Premier league basically has global english audience. Serie a meanwhile still questions foreign overtakes and politics doesnt help.
though liking serie a recent stance on investing on young talents

Daniel's talent is there and after moving from LW to AM position by primavera coach he raked up very impressive goal assist ratio but he was plucked out too early from youth team to first team getting little to no opportunity then he had long term injury.
he has to either play or win pioli or he has to go loan and not loan to some serie c / d team if possible stay in serie a

So after Lukaku and CR7 away from Serie A, who's the best Serie A player now ?

If Chiesa continues on with his Euro and last season form, I think he may very well be the best player in the league imho
Not convinced Dybala will return to his usual levels

Re: Calcio Saga 21/22
has milan not learned the lesson after loosing hakan and dollaruumma for free??? why is milan spoon feeding kessie thinking he is going to sign extension. even juve sold ronaldo and got fee for last year . its strange that club and its caretakers has yet to understand that ball is at kessie's court and he is playing with them ... kessie just went from his asking of 5 million a year (a year ago request) to 7 million (plus 1.5 million sign on fee) a year to extend contract.
if milan cant agree just move on....
jesus this is hakan and dolllarumma thing all over again

Maldini’s contract negotiation tactics suck.
Why does he wait until the last season? You always get screwed that way. He needs to follow City’s method of starting renewal talks with 3 seasons to go.

yea exactly!
or even like how chelsea do ... put star players with contract that has a clause of automatic renewal option that can be exercised on the final year. thats how we couldnt get giroud for free and thats how now bakayoko who has contract until 2022 but with clause of renewal automatically if chelsea chooses so, so that they can make handsome fee.
now... if kessie has higher offer maldini and massara need to suck it up on that fact (paratichi has offered kessie 8 million a year after end of contract at milan, liverpool is willing to match that)
we are resigned to loose why beg kessie to lower it ... just make fee out of him and let him go. we could have got kamara for marseille by now.. sigh
actually u know, that after this season theo and bennacer will just have 2 years left. which again is unbelievable that tehy are thinking both of them are loyal to milan ...
meanwhile romagnoli has personal terms agreed with juve and only reasons why he is not sold is because he deliberately asked milan not to sell him. he will leave for juve for free.
its no secret that after barzagli's retirement, allegri has been courting romagnoli as replacement
so yes maldini and massara and gazidis are just i dont know what and why they are doing this

Clearly, the league doing well gives more chances for your club winning the more important trophies while actually playing in a competitive and cool to watch league.
Just when it looked up for the league, Inter went and imploded, and Milan gets theost difficult CL group
I feel it's a narrative ( whenever I read twitter, and I compare Italians with other fans of same club) who cares mainly who is not Italian, probably used to battle in his country on who's the best league ( given that in that country you can meet fans of different leagues)
but personally I don't feel this rivalry with other leagues, used to "live" , feel , breath the Serie A over the rest, I know only fans of Serie A teams, I feel Serie A egemony and so I know my interest for league can't depend on players
Of course I hope to not turn into Belgian league, it's clear, no one can wish to fall into oblivion

Verona pressing and moving very well, Inter have no ideas so far.
Let's see if anything changes in the second half. It's games like this that Lukaku was perfect for.

Re: Calcio Saga 21/22
what a performance by Correa! two goals as a sub. fantastic header from darmian cross and wonderful solo effort goal around defenders
that correa goal he scored .... abysmal defending from Verona. dunno what lazovic was doing just walking on the pitch thinking darmian wouldnt chase or get the ball on time and will go out for throw. once darmian got that it drew another defender from his position but correa got that header spot on anyway.
well deserved win by inter from late stage performance ; they are primed to win scudetto they wont probably even need lautaro

meanwhile ivan illic is a player to look at. fantastic acqusition from mancity. last year milan played verona on draw 2-2 he was unplayable. kessie and bennacer was chasing him all day and he ran past them all the time.
one of those whom i would have loved to see him at milan

Curious for Juve as a club financially from this? Didnt CR cost 100M? How much are u guys getting back from Man U? I know CR is unhappy and Juve wanna lower the wage bill, which was how much? CR contributed a lot during his Juve time but cant help but feel Juve made a pretty big loss overall with CR finally> Unless the shirt sales and other incomes made up for this.
And overall how would Juve fans consider CR's legacy at Juve?

Re: Calcio Saga 21/22
As a non-Juve fan, I think I can give an unbiased opinion on Cr's "legacy" at Juve.
If you judge his contributions purely by their imagined intent that he was brought in to win a Champions League, then that has obviously failed. However, I don't think that's ever a realistic title for a club overperforming their league's standards to put in as the only metric of success.
Simply put, I think Ronaldo was signed when Juve was going through an obvious downward trend, with a midfield that is weaker than their two CL finalist squads, and an aging spine. In that team, which kept getting weaker year after year, he scored 30+ goals a season.
Without him, I think they would have still won the league in hist first season. However, they would have lost it to Inter in his second, and wouldn't have even qualified for the CL in his third.
The strategy was always to build a brand around him, which was scuttled when the world ended, so in that sense, it was a failure of circumstances.
Long story short. I think it was a success from a sporting point of view, but a failure in terms of reaching its initial brand targets and justifying the overall fees involved (a failure from Juve board more than from CR's side, and COVID helped but was not the sole factor).
I think Juve would have been in a much better place ironically if the league was interesting and they didn't dominate for too long (which made them complacent in their squad building).
