At the top level, CL semis, CL quarters, he don't give a fuck about defending. Everyone rushing forward all the time

No control, no deliberation, just full on rush, verticality, attacking ecstasy, 90 minutes running forward,the whole team committed to attacking.
What a fucking game, nonstop attacking action, fucking crazy

Of course, it's absolutely maddening, the way we concede chances everytime the opponent merely has the ball

but still, how can you hate on that? How can you not absolutely fucking love this?

10 minutes into a CL quarter final, we had 4 top chances, we conceded 2 top chances, and on and on it went

Was there ever a top team that played like that? So relentlessly open?

I've heard about Zeman of course. Gor fired and hired from Cagliari over and over  wasn't he

He was done when he 's coached Cagliari

His prime was in 90s. Protagonist in this decade. Never a winner, but the most attack minded of Serie A history probably. He was very good with Roman teams

Anyway yes , Flick is a very offensive manager and we tend to underrate this because Lewandoski has a great conversion rate.
Lewandoski is amazing but Bayern are also a club who produces much . And at same time the Lewandoski supremacy hides the defensive lacks.

I had noticed even on last CL anyway, and even in matches apparently with just a ruler. 0-3 against Lyon but yet you have conceded some easy chances to Lyon.

It's not the Bayern under Heynckes that was a working machine without incongruites

Lyon could have scored many against us, as could every team we face. Köln, Bielefeld, Lokomitive Moscow, RB Salzburg.

Flick doesn't care, they get 2, 3, 4 ,5 appearances all alone in front of Neuer

Yes the intensity in this game was something else. This bayern definitely is one of the most attacking minded teams ever. It's incredible how quickly they can transition to attack and create danger constantly.

Actually Real owning Liverpool and also just watching the game recently has made me realise the contrast Zidane's teams in comparison. They play mostly calm and collected patience, but a lot of top teams like Bayern, Liverpool, Man C focus more on the pressing and intensity. All has their weaknesses I suppose.

Bayern were unlucky with the missing Lewand and Gnabry, together with the fact that Mbappe can be unplayable at times and score just with one or two chances. Another day Bayern would have drawn that game I think.

And yes Flick's Bayern are entertaining to watch, they way they attack non stop and play so high, leaving the back line to good counters consistently, makes for exciting games

It was amazing to see his Roma kicking off games like this with "the wall of attack" rushing forward

From the current top managers yes. However, I have to agree with CalcioLegacy here. Zeman's football had the most verticality I've ever seen. Passing backwards was never an option and they only passed sideways if they really had to.

How would you guys compare Zeman's teams playing to this Bayern under Flick?
I mean in terms of style, strategy, not in terms of  quality.

I've never seen those games, and it sounds intriguing. And this Bayern to me seems incomparable to any other team right now in the way how uncompromising, careless and unapologetic Flick has us playing forward and how little we take care to get people behind the ball

All the way down to his selection, clearly he's not insisting on a Alaba-Boateng CB partnership due to the strength of their defensive behaviour

Zeman played a 433 with the 3 forwards attacking close to each other to combine centrally while while fullbacks pushed up all game for width. The keeper played as a sweeper. A lot of quick one touch football in attack but always forward and getting the ball up quickly. Pressing to recover the ball high and running up in numbers to overwhelm a defense, which also left them wide open to counters. The kick offs were hilarious, 8 players standing on the half line waiting to attack from the first kick. Very fast paced.
