I expect Farça fans to have issues with this draw as well.

Anything short of Madrid drawing the strongest possible opponent is a scandalous defiance of odds as far as they're concerned.

Regardless of what Farca fans or any fan might think this is a very even match.

Both teams have struggled with injuries all season, although admittedly Liverpool have had it far worse. Madrid have slowly recovered except for Carvajal (massive loss) and of course Fatzard.

Both aren't doing too well in league either but Madrid are in a better position.

Winnable tie for the team, if the rm stays consistent and continues to win in the league, that gonna be a big help don't want this to turn into a CL or nothing type a season yet, maybe at the semi or preferably the finals, as long as the team gets some production from the wings going forward, then there is a good chance to make it to the finals.

Benzema has a decent record against pool also.

They didn't draw Porto, which would have been the easiest, but playing Pool to be on this side of the bracket means this is probably the best draw possible.

And wouldn’t that be an interesting development. Two seasons in a row were the bulk of fans lose interest, think they are out of all competitions by Christmas and entire squad needs to be replaced, that coach is crap and then they magically put together a season end run to bag a major trophy!

Sure, I hope it happens. Had never expected us to win the league last season, but we did. We played decently well towards the end of the season, and that was sufficient enough. I've never been more desensitized to a league title win, though. Can't complain, but I was left with a feeling akin to the title being handed to us. Even if we did actually win it fair and square, I can't force myself to be happy about it, and I never thought I'd say that.

Big game Benzema along with old man Ramos are the only two people capable of doing something for Madrid. Expecting them to do a 'one last job' before moving on.

But if Mane and Salah are up for it then Madrid's defence will struggle to cope.
