Which team will progress ?
Re: UCL QF 2020/21 | Manchester City - Borussia Dortmund
Guardiola not playing an experimental 11, benching his worst finishers, and playing KDB false 9 with Bernardo in midfield?
Seems like the baldie is finally learning

Emre Cannot is the German Morata. How does he have so many top clubs on his resume?

Can someone explain to me how Dortmund's goal was ruled out for a foul? Ederson literally missed the ball and kicked the studs of Bellingham instead. How is that a foul on Ederson?

City is so lucky that Rodri, Dias, and Ederson's brainfarts weren't capitalized on. The Ederson mistake should have stood as a goal. Not sure why VAR didn't check it.

City still need a goalscorer imo, feels like something is missing with their attacking play.

I hope Haaland can pull a goal out of his ass, somehow. He's been outright poor for 4 matches now, but one can hope.

Maybe it's time for him to turn into Heeland.

Normally, he would've scored on that chance. Just doesn't seem to have his usual sharpness and aggression these days.

I think Europa League is a better fit for this Dortmund team.

Shame about the ref. Foden with the winner.

Yeah uncharacteristic 1v1 miss aside his link up play and hold up play is really good. He doesn't lose the ball under pressure.

Good? Did we watch the same match? It's been the same for 4 matches now. No aggression, misplaces simple passes, wastes chances that he's been scoring consistently for a season and a half now. Something's not right.

Transfer links probably getting to him tbh. If not that then he's just in a mini slump. It's okay. Messi went 5 games goalless in La Liga in 2011. It happens to the best of them.

Yeah, that's the only explanation I can think of. Somehow, I assumed he wasn't the type to be affected by things like that. I suppose he's still quite young.

KdB, Mahrez and Foden were City best players. I was impressed with Dortmund intensity and some great positioning at times from them. Awful decision by disallowing Dortmund goal and Walker falling asleep for Reus goal smh
Foden could’ve been on a hat trick will be interesting to see if those missed chances come back to haunt City. I feel BSilva needs to be in midfield rather then false 9.

Re: UCL QF 2020/21 | Manchester City - Borussia Dortmund
The first half was pretty ironic. City had one chance in the first half which they scored from which was unusual. They also had their usual brainfarts which didn't get punished this time around either.
Second half it was more typical City. They created a fair bit of chances in the last 30 min but Foden kept missing them lol. They ended up getting a last minute win, but I can't see the second leg victory being a foregone conclusion. The return tie will definitely be interesting.

It’s really time for you to eat some fat humble pie my man. That’s really all I have to say^^. Not gonna even make the effort to quote you.
Pep realized what works; don’t over think it, play your best players and formation and don’t try crazy shit. This could be the year for city

Continually getting relatively weaker teams in group stages and knockouts isn't luck enough for you lol?
